True! And wow! Never caught that quote, to wrapped up in reading that scene. I'd say there's some more foreshadowing there. I wonder why this was cut?

I guess due to fear of offending religious people? It's a nice scene though. It shows some of Shepard's internal struggles, and Shepard makes a joke too. Posted Image

Haha yeah and a funny one too. This will sound a little silly, but BioWare shouldn't care about offending people and just make the game they want to maken. =]

Definitely ending foreshadowing.

Just like:

Garrus: Don't forget to come up for air, there's a lot more war to go.

and

Anderson: Shepard. So I imagine you've wiped the galaxy clean of Reapers, and we can all come up for air?

On its own, the line from Garrus would mean nothing.  But that line from Anderson is definitely something, and the parallels with the former are enough that I can agree with you that both have significance.

I think that the publisher might disagree with you, as it possibly would hurt sales.

Does the Omega DLC have citadel parts in it?, those may be the files found in Leviathan

Omega had nothing in the files. At least that's what I heard. But in Leviathan there was a lot of Citadel content... A lot more than actually experienced in game.

They cut all the files that weren't part of the Omega DLC yes, BioWare seems to be getting better at preventing datamining.

Well, think of it as a good thing. I mean, we'll get the content regardless.

Also, I just read the Ashley deleted scene, and read something kind of funny.

"Hate the colors. Hate the reminder of... the end, Y'know?"

He's referring to the colours you see when you're fatally wounded or heavily wounded. I can understand that. I've talked to a war vet who was shot in the chest by an SVD. His description of dying was... less than pleasant.

It's just funny out of context, that's all. But Shepard is having some serious existential crises here. Ties in with the VI comment on Chronos. Interesting.

Doesn't exactly matter, as it's a deleted scene. It isn't part of the game. As such, you can't exactly cite it as evidence.

We might not be able to cite it as evidence, but it does give us insight into the mindset that the writers had during development.

Are you the new megumi or something? Finding negatives with every point annoys me when there is no mention of how they can be a good sign.

Finding the negatives, acknowledging them, then dissecting these negatives is better than to simply ignore them.

Look, let's not start a fight. Nothing will come of it.

Actually, I do mean ALL the writers.  This might just be one scene, but looking at it in the context of the rest of the game starts to reveal certain patterns that hint at something else.

I'm not starting a fight. As I said, it's not the fact negatives are brought up my certain people, but that these people never mention any positives whatsoever, and act dismissively towards anything brought up which annoys me.

Agreed. I'm a lapsed catholic / optimistic agnostic myself and I really don't see how anyone could be offended by that rather thoughful little scene. Some religions don't even believe in an immediate life-after-death anyway - 7th Day Adventists, for example, believe that everyone remains completely unconscious, until God physically reassembles everyone, atom by atom, on Judgement Day.

I'm reminded of the way the first Golden Compass book by Philip Pullman, was made into such a lacklustre film, because the makers were too afraid of offending the sensibilities of the religious right.

They are a team after all. We can't know for sure either way, but it ties in with other important things throughout the game, unrelated to Ashley, so if I had to I'd guess more than one of them was involved.
