Ever since Leviathan, I've been convinced the Reapers harvest organics, so they can incorporate their unique genetic abilities.

Just like how the first Reaper harnessed the Leviathans' genetic ability to enthrall organics.

I'm still humoring the idea of the breath scene happening on a Reaper. It explains the sights, sounds and Reaper tech that being on Earth doesnt explain while the rubble that being on the Citadel doesnt explain can be easily explained here as it got taken when Shepard does.

wasn't there reaper tech on that rachni mission with grunt lying around the ground?
the beam itself on london Is reaper tech so it is highly probable that reaper tech is around london and thus could explain such materials being present as well as its sounds in the breath scene.

While a very interesting hypothesis and I like many parts of it(especially the Catalyst deceiving them), I have a problem with it. The Leviathans view themselves as the apex race, so why destroy their empire and go into hiding. Thats the last thing a race so proud of themselves would do intentionally.

Remember when Gamble said we don't know half of it (regarding the origins of the Reapers)?

I think that still applies. We don't know half of it. The Leviathans do not exactly seem to be entirely trustworthy.

IMO They didnt have a choice.  dont forget they built a 'tool' which became self aware.  by the time they realised half of their population or more could have been working for it.  going into hiding was possibly their only choice.  Or maybe only the three remained untouched by the AIs influence.

So? Rifneno and spotless are really gone?
I hope not, would be a loss to the thread.
And I can actually understand their reasons.
Edit: Was still reading 20 pages ago.

I don't think so. I just saw Rif. But I'm not sure we'll see Estebanusister back here again. Posted Image

Only the strongest will survive. Those who are not strong enough shall
die/ become slaves. It's really simple if your not part of the top, then
you are nothing to the Leviathans. If you allowed yourself to fall to
your own creation, then you are cast out. The Protheans left behind
anyone that didn't help them/ slowed them down. It's about who is the
strongest, and who will survive.

First of all: Hello there. my name is Selim Bradley and it is a pleasure to meet you.

now onto you post, those cables are important or else why lay them there. With that, Harbinger would not fire there at the risk of destroying those cables and undoing their purpose. Though I guess he could have thought they could be replaced after the fight (Maurader Shields and The Three Husketeers are actually repairmen lol). Im not placing much credence into the breath scene happening inside Harbinger but it would give Bioware a perfect opportunity to take him down from the inside like many fans want so Im keeping it as a backup idea to the common earth location.

Agreed. There is more to this, and I hope that we find out more about Harbinger. Bioware makes sure we don't forget about Harbinger.;)

Didn't Final Hours also say they'd never explain the origins of the Reapers?

Spotless seems to be. I'm still deciding. Probably should wait until narcotics out of system to make decisions like that (recently learned exactly what "my back went out" means).

hey i like that... yeah makes sense.  what if the reapers are actually tools of those leviathans that cast out the 3?  The 3 are in hiding from the other Leviathan...not the reapers per se.

So rational. It would be a shame to lose such a valuable ally.

I should reiterate my complaint. I thought you meant the Leviathans were still in control, not that was their plan but Catalyst tricked them. I agree with that and make note of it in my comparison (clink link in sig if curious. Section I subsection A-B)

I think it said they knew the origins and had it all planned out, but didn't want to tell us. Can't remember if it said "yet" or not. I don't need to know their origins. It's cool like that.

yeah....:crying:sorry...wall of text has made me blind.  and i'm tired/shattered....

at the end of the day (and it is for me....) until Bioware give us some information it's just more speculation.  yeah Catalyst has been a very naughty boy.  A very very naughty boy.  Just wait till his parents find out
