Nope, the premise is that eventually synthetics will destroy all organics. It doesn't have to happen now or in a billion years.

His premise is wrong.  It was disproven when the geth burned over Rannoch

In 1 of 3 cases.
Then in 1 of 3 cases they make peace, for now.
Then in 1 of 3 cases Quarians burn.

The premise is not wrong at all.

In deductive reasoning, one counter-example is all you need to disprove a point.

No, masster. It's not your fault at all. You did a fair thing. That message was pretty pathetic anyway, don't beat yourself up.

The best thing is to get over it and move on. You can't change the past, and besides it wasn't your fault.

Pro-tip: if the Reapers hadnt intervened, the quarians would have wiped the geth out. You cant use reaper intervention in a war against organics as proof that synthetics will always win.

Thats like seeing a dog chasing cat, seeing the cat nearly get away, and then grabbing the cat up and throwing it to the dog, then claiming it proves that dogs will always catch cats when they chase them. It only ended up that way because you stepped in.

Don't be silly, Byne.  The Catalyst has to be wrong ALL of the time for him to be wrong.  It's not like IT, where you only need to prove it's wrong on one point.  <cough>

Again, if its even possible for synthetics to be destroyed by organics than his argument is void.

Nope, it only showed the Geth weren't the ones. It doesn't mean that there will never be a race of synthetics that would eat the Geth for breakfast.

That is entirely irrelevant.  The Catalyst's assertion that organics WILL INEVITABLY be killed by synthetics is proven wrong.

Nope. You cannot disprove for example "I will roll a 1 with this dice." Even if the first roll isn't a 1, I just roll again and again.
The Guardians reasoning is exactly that.

Even if it were true, the Reapers aren't a solution.  They're a delaying tactic.  The Milky Way is but one of hundreds of billions of galaxies.  If synthetics were to inevitably wipe out organics, synthetics from another galaxy would, sooner or later, invade the Milky Way.  The sheer distance between galaxies is a huge issue for organics, but not immortal machines.  And who's gonna stop them?  The Reapers?  The Reapers have hit the pause button on the Milky Way's technological advancement for a billion years.  At least.  The Reapers would get omniraped.  And then so would the Milky Way's organics.  There's dozens of ways the catalyst's logic fails harder than the XFL.

Except in this case, for some reason he continually rolls 2-5, gets fed up with rolling, and tosses a loaded dice and magically, via the power of cheating, he gets a 1.

Since it shows the Shepard catalyst with green eyes, its technically a 'control and synthesis at the same time banner,' because Seival doesnt understand how mutually exclusive things work.

QFT

Reaper manipulations are the source of known synthetic-organic conflicts of the last 2 cycles.

If we're going to talk about things Sevial doesn't understand, I'm gonna have to take a break until I get fiber optic internet.

"by synthetics" does not specify when and under which circumstances. Just look at our world, we have a certain stability, but that doesn't mean we never would wipe each other out if certain circumstances are given. If we can't ensure everlasting peace in one species, how do you suggest what will happen with two species which are completely alien to each other. Then you just need a 50/50 chance of one getting the upper hand and you have a 50% probability that synthetics win.

That isn't the Catalyst's assertion.  His assertion is that organics ARE INEVITABLY DOOMED, THEY HAVE ZERO CHANCE WIOUT THE REAPERS. His assertion is wrong as I've showed you.

No, the assertion is never stated as "all synthetics always win". It doesn't specify the synthetics at all.

He very clearly means synthetics will rebel and destroy organics.  He is in no way ambiguous about this.
