There is nothing to say that the peace  will last.  It might, it might not.

In real life you'd have a point, but this is fiction. Saying the peace might not/won't last is like saying the Salarians could just put out a new Genophage after the war. Such things don't happen in fiction.

Destroy Maelon's data and Wrex is mean as hell initially. And as of having Wreav ovet Wrex, just start the trilogy in ME 2 or 3.

They theoretically could........ And if Wrex and Eve lose Vontrol and the Krogan go to war, guess who I'm visiting

You know, all this time we're spending waiting for the CItadel DLC and I can't help but wonder if the DLC plot doesn't revolve around the CItadel at all. Like if the new Citadel zones that were added are just hubs where you interact with characters crucial to the dlc plot...like every other dlc we've played to date.

It's something to consider. Not like we have the info to speculate on much else

But he also says there could never be peace between organic/synthetics despite the fact we could have brokered peace between geth/quarians...

Even Shepard's alliance with Legion proves peace is possible.  And Shepard's crew is multi-racial.  Sure, Legion is viewed with distrust by many of the crew, but that's understandable since all those races have suffered at the hands of Saren's Heretics.

They do, but they are lapses in the writer's judgment and are almost always decried. Take the Terminator franchise for instance:

T2: We stopped Judgment Day! Hooray!
T3: Nope.

That's certainly possible, and like you said, the other two did have sections on the Citadel. Hmm, interesting.

Masster, you just need to calm down with the overdramatic 'woe is me, I shan't ever recover from such a mistake' stuff.

You made a mistake, and we all moved past it. Just relax.

I've actually thought about what the response might be if the krogan got out of hand after the war.  The genophage would mean that any kind of population control would have to be approached quite differently...either some refined genophage is thought up or the galaxy will literally try to obliterate the krogan.  Not a pretty picture.

The rachni could be useful allies if the krogan empire became unruly...they also have high birth rates

Unrelated rambling. God, I love the krogan. "There's a Reaper in my way, Wrex!" "I know, you get all the fun!"

I don't know how you could go with Wreav. Wrex is just pure awesome.

Damn straight.  If they ever make a Mass Effect MMO (I sure hope they don't, btw, since MMO's usually crash and burn and I'd rather have a solid single player or co-op RPG), I'm rolling as a Krogan.  And I will headbutt people, regularly.

Yes, very true, they could do that in an ME sequel for sure (and it'd be dumb), but if we're just talking about a theoretical future, like we are now, then it's not something that should be assumed in fiction.

A redone Earth would be very similar to what I want: an epilogue dlc.  Of course such a dlc requires either the literal high Destroy ending OR an IT interpretation.  My hope is on the latter but only time will tell

Did Wrex headbutt anyone in ME1?  I seem to recall being confused at Joker's crack about headbutting in ME2.

Every. Single. Case. of synthetics vs. organics has Reaper involvement in it.

Bar the initial Quarian-Geth war.  Which the Quarians started, and the Geth finished - by not wiping out their creators and letting them escape.  The Geth wanted to understand what happened, and considered destroying them would create too many variables.

But this also proves one thing.  Without the Reapers, Synthetics will not attempt to wipe out Organics.  Once the Quarians stopped shooting at them and ran away, the Geth ceased fire and started cleaning up the mess!

I shouldn't have replied, honestly.  I didn't check how far back that post was made, and I shouldn't have dug it up.

I'll let her off, but I'm still insulted.  But being insulted is part of life.

Personally, I do believe that the next DLC will tie into the main story somehow.  I'm not sure what else would provide "high potential for tears".

I certainly didn't cry when Nyreen died. I literally looked at the screen and went "Well, that was pointless."

Which makes this what, the third time the rachni have gone extinct?  No wait, 4th, the Protheans thought they wiped them out too.  Yeah, I wouldn't count on them staying dead this time either.

I've concluded something. There's a reason I hate Control and Synthesis. They will ultimately lead to stagnation. Without conflict, nothing changes. Remember what the Catalyst says? "But the Reapers will be destroyed?" "Yes, but the peace, won't last." That's not a bad thing. Conflict is not a bad thing. We're in some form of conflict every day of our lives. I don't mean war. War and conflict are two different things. War is bad. Conflict is not. And even war has a place, no matter how horrible it is. Would the world be a better place if the U.S. hadn't gone to war with Germany during WW2? I don't think so. That's ultimately the reason the Catalyst is wrong. He was created to end the conflict between organics and synthetics. That's impossible. There will ALWAYS be conflict, it doesn't matter whether it's between organics and synthetics, or just between organics. And if there WAS a way to end conflict, it wouldn't be right.
