On my most recent playthrough Ive been observing the reapers actions and it definitely looks like they want shepard to be able to gather the galaxy together  and build the crucible. it explains why shepard encounters minimal(compared to what theyre capable of) resistance from the reapers. It also explains why the crucible plans are conveniently found mere months before the invasion and why the reapers dont immediately take over the citadel and close the relays.

Remind you of anything?

EDIT: Yeah, and it also whispers and hums. And there is and imaginery floating in it that reminds you of "Child" at the end.

What are we looking at here? Geth Dreadnought?

It reminds me of the Normandy reactor core.

Yes, Geth Dreadnought. That sphere of light is just above Legion.

Reminds me of Object Rho.

that would explain why we fight cerberus so often, although that would suggest cerberus arent actually aligned with the reapers

Cerberus's actions are also part of the reaper's plans. Forces that could be used to handle the reapers are being wasted dealing with Cerberus. And Cerberus didnt pop out with warships and an army over night. The codex states theyve been stock piling ships resources and recruiting for years. Also according to EDI, Cerberus rakes in several dozen billion in credits annually through other companies.

I'm free to take this as satire. And upon the 20th thought I think this is the best form of criticism on Synthesis I've seen. It fits perfectly within what the endings suggest (see husk from the EC scene) and pictures are always more effective than words.

In my opinion this thing should be posted on every page of every pro-Synthesis thread because if people like Synthesis, this is exactly what they get. If they dig it then you also know how these people work or are trolling.

Well seeing as how they threw people at the problem and did come up with a solution..... I know if I quote TIM it will just be chalked up to his indoctrination, but Im willing to argue.  "Thanks to the Prothean VI, I have what I need to make it(co trol) a reality"

Ah yeah, the magical Prothean VI with solutions to everything

Nah that aside need I remind you that the Prothean splinter group who were the ones pursuing Indoctrination were infact Indoctrinated? Any ideas of control in a Prothean VI would logically have to come from them which makes the information...less than ideal...

The origins of an idea should not color the idea itself.  There is nothing wrong or impossible about Control, and I will argue that until I am blue in the face.

The problem is the Catalyst and his load of crap about Control and Synthesis that makes me pick Destroy.  If Sheoard survived Control, I'd pick it in a heartbeat

No there is nothing wrong with the idea.

But when TIM says he got the things he need to make it a reality from a Prothean VI when we know the Protheans advertising Control were Indoctrinated the base for what he got becomes very questionable.

Also even if the Protheans were advanced we are still talking the Reapers who are much more advanced than the Geth and as I mentioned it took the Quarians 300 years to come up with something against them, the very AI they created. If the Protheans had such a massive breakthrough in regards to the Reapers that it allowed a Splinter Group to get an idea of a viable solution in much less time.

Control is good as an idea, but the events we see in game as well as hear about makes it pretty clear it is not a path which has led to much success in the past. The mere fact that we have had both a Prothean Splinter group and Cerberus both seeking Control and both Indoctrinated should say everything.

Oh thank God.  For a moment, I was going to lose what little faith in humanity I had regained since I last lost all faith in humanity.

Honestly I wouldn't bother.  He's convinced otherwise.  Which is hilariously apt all things considered.

And I'd say Control as a concept is still bad.  Even if it was perfect in its interpretation, I still consider it a bad move.  Allowing the Reapers to continue, unaltered but under the command of a new AI program that we have zero gaurentee will uphold any notions of peace is shakey at best.  Its a worse solution then Destroy in nearly every regard - its a delaying action at the very least.

Because Chris is the one who shut down the last two, and he's on vacation.

@ Andromidus, I detect a certain irony hearing that I'm too stubborn coming from an ITer, but that's beside the point

Control under the AI is a terrible idea, it should be control under a living person. My issues with Control are in its explanation and execution. Not idealogical issues. Also there's the whole becomes a husk thing

Speaking of Mark IV and Chris, we should place bets on how long it takes Chris to pop in Mk IV and make a random comment just to get the Bioware Seal of Approval show up under the thread title ;)
