Also, damnit, how did we not have this pic posted during the holidays?

Actually I wanted to post it but remembered that we had it in Mark II, I think. But I might be wrong. Oh well, it is now. ^_^

So?  Lex0r is one of the most beloved posters in IT because he keeps posting awesome pics like that.

Of course it's not going to be all sad and tearful.  If it's an IT reveal, we're going to be, to quote Kaidan in the Gamer Poop video, "Dancing in the streets, hugging and ****ing."  OK, that last part might not be accurate, but the rest it is.

Do you think if the DLC is an IT reveal that it will basically silence everyone on the forum and have them go "oh, so the ending was an indoctrination attempt after all" or will they react "Bioware copied the whole IT thing and used it as their own..."? I don't know how it'll turn out, but it would be interesting to see how people react to it.

About that tweet "High potential for tears". Well, you all probably know it aleady, but Hulick said himself that this DLC is not going to be all sad and tearful:

MDesigner wrote...

"Actually, tweets are not regulated in the way that you've described. We are just expected to exercise caution and respect non-disclosure agreements. I made one comment about just one particular piece of music being sad, and now the entire DLC is sadness apparently (not true). Obviously I didn't reveal any details about the DLC itself and no harm was done, but it's frustrating to be misquoted, so since then I've toned down my comments on the DLC until after it's fully announced and/or launched. Lesson learned!"

Oh, I know. And I know that you (this thread) know it also, but there were parts od BSN where people start panic :)

Ah that'll be interesting if they do that. They will need to do a really good job on that to show that they did, in fact, planned this way before IT was created. Let's see what they'll add. :)

depends how good it is, i still think a new ending would be enough to get the majority of people on board but thats just me

Ending rewrite ain't gonna happen. After all, call me nuts, but that's like trying to create the ending in the "fans vision" of the game instead of the creator's (Bioware).

Shepard wakes up and destroys the Reapers for real would be my guess.

They've had hints of indoctrination going back to 2007 or so, and before that (Final Hours talked about a master race enslaving a lesser one, from 2004)

Whatever they do with this DLC, someone will be upset. That's the No.1 fact and unwritten rule of BSN.

I just can't see EA letting them do all this if it was planned from the beginning. I believed that IT was intended and that they'd release content explaining everything up until they released the EC. I still view an indoctrination attempt as the most reasonable interpretation of the ending but I don't think that we'll get DLC pointing out the truth of it. I'd love to be wrong though :-).

All they'd need to say is "it'll make us more money".

EA doesn't force Bioware to do anything though, least according to this.

Thing is though, DLC is a modern thing with games, so not sure how Mass Effect 3 would be able to include the DLC with this being the end of the trilogy without putting it out later on. I think they really had no other choice.

We all know the destroy ending is the best ending, right?

I made points like hundreds of pages ago as to why Refuse is the best ending.
Destroy along with Synthesis and Control are bad endings.

Have you guys accused Hackett of shooting JFK yet?

Don't be silly. We all know that It was the Comedian, who shot the JFK. :) (by the way literal version of it is that it was a hit&run roadkill by a drunk biker)

In the comics, the Comedian and Moloch were in Cuba when that happened, they were sad:crying:

Yeah, they're all varying degrees of bad, including destroy. At least literally.

Yeah, you made points that most of us disagree with. Doesn't stop you having your PoV though. That's fine. The way you phrased that again made it appear as if you are 100% correct. Please don't confuse the two, as opinion is subjective.

re-watch the final dialoge with him - "conrad, why did you do that?" ))))

there you have perfect forshadowing of the IT reveal. If Conrad Verner can have a happy ending - Shepard sure can and will have it too.

And what i find even more fitting is that only a completionist will get everything out of Conrad. Beside his survival beeing based on a ME1 decision, his asset also scales with the number of Matriarch writings from ME1 you found, up to 10. Getting those means you explored just about everything in ME1.

This is exactly what I always though/still think the end of ME3 should be like. You'd really know your choices/efforts mattered. The best ending should be harder than this to get! It would be so satisfying.
