Then how the hell the reapers are type II civ?? they are at the very least type III If not higher.
How is crucible suddenly type III technology??

Exactly

I was quoting this guys article because his logic confuses me :?

At any rate assigning this thing to a fictional universe is just dumb and a waste of time.

I don't really like this scale at all, even in the real universe, I prefer Carl Sagans scale, which determines the advancement by Information processing with Types A - Z, makes much more sense, but isn't applicable for fiction either ;)

Hmm. Never seen Sagan's scale before. Sounds interesting.
@Ha! It's even more pointless to apply it to real life considering we only have one species to apply it to. Posted Image

I feel that if we to beat the reapers, we need to do in the most insulting way to them. Namely, by throwing rocks at them.

I know it from this book
They applied it to different cultures in history, like the ancient greeks = type C, humanity now = type H

@ norlond

The article confuses just about everyone. Some guy who used to be an iter once brought it up as "far more obvious and reasonable than IT" i don't remember his name..something with "clown" in it (no joke)..managed to ****** everyone off, fast. Anyway how is this more obvious than IT? You'd have to be familiar with all of the theories and concept the guy mentions, and while i am..i still fail to see how this is related to me3' s story or ending.

Off topic: eric (epic) clapton is goddamn awesome unplugged..especially when it's late at night and you're just chilling in your bed, hanging around in the IT thread. (listening to "old love" the 5th time now)

In the end the reapers weren't defeated by our most advanced weapons, but by Earth's most humble of all creatures: the tyrannosaurus rex.

I closed the article after he said that "if you ignore some of the dialogue" the ending is "enjoyable" <_<

This is good mood music (warning: do not open if you don't like anime and/or japanese ^_^)

Oh what a sight that would be! Watching a Reaper destroyd by the mighty T-Rex! What an insult, to be not even be defeated by your enemy, but by an animal.

Now all of the species would really be united. The T-Rex may teach the Krogan s thing or two about brute strength. For Earth!

I know. Wrex even says he knows why you'll win. Because you brought the krogan!

There Wrex said it. Guaranteed victory.

@Norlond that pic makes me sadface. Posted Image

@401 One destroyer was killed by a worm. (Conventional victory Posted Image)
Now all we need is a gun that fires T-rex's. Posted Image

How do they feel? Wow. I mean, obviously they were thinking about that, but this is the part I simply don't understand, unless IT. Where were their testers - the people who told them how they felt? You know, in QA? How could this get past QA? Wait, aren't they having a conference about the game's QA in March? Just after the anniversary. Speculations...

Well, I think it's pretty obvious that if literal, this is beyond stupid. They didn't anticipate how people would feel at all. Especially considering the Brave New World reference. I've read the book, and it's clear it's a dystopia. How could writers of all people miss that? Is it even possible? That's why I think it must be IT -
Because it's too stupid to happen otherwise. Posted Image
