In case you missed it, since i edited the post which you already replied to - Zorya is a russian word for Dawn. Might be relevant.

Too bad. Still great info regardless. Where exactly is Zorya. I'm assuming it's not within FTL range...

Hello IT people! I've been away playing Persona 4: the Golden (not to be confused with plain old Persona 4...cuz they're totally different!!! :P)

anything new and/or exciting happen since I last visited these great halls?

Tell me when the last time you were here was and I'll tell you what you missed. I missed you :P

@Byne I know! I wish they'd stay in the same place. I'd have them memorized by now.

hmm..sheesh maybe it was the 28th or 29th? I'm not really sure but it was somewhere along those dates.  I never realized this game would take up so much time lol.

Lol. Well around New Years it was mostly useless banter and gossip. Estebanus and Spot left. :( We've only had minor speculation since then;  a lot of topics though. What do you think about that Zorya picture?

So, despite the lack of new citadel DLC details I feel like reminding everyone of this:

http://www.youtube.c...Q46svfVc#t=233s

I think it'll be interesting to see whether the presidium/citadel as an indoctrination instrument is expanded upon.

Ok, that map is just wrong. How come the Widow Nebula is called the Serpent Nebula? Where is the Viper Nebula?

I've been thinking... If Sam Hullick is making the music for this DLC, we already know it will be epic. And if he was referring to his work in ME3 when he said that his music will bring tears... Perhaps he could be doing work that rivals "An End Once and For All". If that song wasn't epic, I don't know what is then.

I have to say, I am very much looking forward to seeing what Sam Hullick is composing.

Because it is the Serpent Nebula. Widow is the system.

And it was probably made before Arrival.

If we go by that map the distance between the local cluster and the Ismar Frontier would be approximately 60000 lightyears.

Not sure if this is relevant to anything though.

"An End Once and For All" along with "Leaving Earth" was not composed by Sam Hullick, but by Clint Mansell.

Edit: ok correction. An end once and far all was co-coposed by Mansell and Hullick. But i still think that the main theme of it was done by Mansell.

Well technically only Leaving Earth was. The main melody of An End Once and For All was from Leaving Earth, so partial credit goes to him. But Hulick did the rest. It would be like saying Bungie made Halo 4.

Looks exactly like the "Eden" planet at the end. More stuff from Shep's memories? It's not like the Normandy could go there via FTL. Lends credence to the idea that it's fake. Thoughts?

Hope you get better soon! I have a cold too. :/

I agree.  People hate on Vega (I'm not one of them), but there's no denying Prinze did an excellent job with the voice acting.

The end of the first matrix is another interesting thing to write. At the end of The Matrix, Agent Smith kills Neo inside the Matrix, meaning he dies in real life. Trinity kisses real life dead-Neo and he lives again...this time at full NEO power and easily defeats Smith before getting out of the Matrix in time to destroy all of the synthetic sentinels attacking the ship.

I think it's possible that since the discovery of Mass Relays, that they've studied its technology and use it for their own ships. They still use the Mass Relays, though, so that's probably because they did not want to waste any kind of fuel when they could just use Mass Relay for that.  I mean like yeah, sure, technology was knocked out - but you can see that Normandy took off that planet - so if fuel was out, it's okay because they can still use the quantum communication with someone to come and refuel Normandy? I don't know, too much speculation for this one...I just want it to be that, so that it's possible for Normandy to get back to Earth and reunite with Shepard! :P

Edit: fixed errors!

Oh that?  I thought we talked about that all the way back in Mark I.  Scraping the bottom of the barrel again? LOL Posted Image

Honestly tho I can't imagine the Normandy could have gotten to a planet that looks like that on FTL alone, and even if they used a mass relay before they were damaged the trip through one is supposed to be nearly instantaneous right.  So to e that means they were either in FTL for hours and landed in another system in the Local Cluster, which wouldn't make sense considering the time it took them to flee the battle and reach the mass relay, or they were in the middle of a mass relay trip, in which case I wouldn't think the normandy could move around like that anyway, considering the supposed speed at which a ship using a relay is supposed to reach the other relay.

IT or no, it seems clear to me that something doesn't add up

His voice acting is why I actually like Vega, it makes him much more of a person rather than just a jarhead marine, it's very well done. If James's VA had been even just average his character would be very, very bland.

I'm not surprised though, amazing voice acting and characters have always been one of the strongest things about Mass Effect.

Well in IT they never actually went to that planet.  If we have the correct location of the planet we know its impossible for them to make it there given that fuel capacity is only enough for 1kly in FTL travel.

Edit: I read something wrong, scratch that last bit.  Suffice it to say that it would have taken them far too long, I'm trying to find actual velocity figures atm.

You know what doesn't add up? Why was the Normandy running away at all? If the beam doesn't damage our ships, then why run, and what made it crash? If it does damage our ships then we're in big trouble because if we have ships that were some magical place that the beam didn't go, that means there could have been Reapers that escaped too. Implications... unpleasant.

You should know by now how much we recycle our speculations.   Lots of stuff gets forgotten by some, and regular posters come and go...  not many of us left from Mk 1, I'm afraid.  Probably a lot of stuff from there is new to the current regular posters.

Anyway, yeah that Eden-esque planet is just lunacy.  There's no way the Normandy got out of the Sol system before the destroy wave hit it.  Even if it did, the Charon relay links to Arcturus.  There's nothing there but gas giants.
