What's an OOC?

Out Of Character line.

For example for my Pro-Human Separd apologizing to Tevos after Thessia is out of character, not something I'd normally do.  But hey, autodialouge.

Who's Tevos?

Asari councilor.  The original one, if it matters.

Well, Levy said that indoctrination is "perfected" enthrallment, so I'll go with yes. Times 10.

If it really were perfected we wouldn't have this discussion as there should be no way to escape indoctrination.

Meg, that's exactly why I put quotes there. That's how they said it. It's obvious it's only improved, but the Leviathans are as arrogant as the reapers. You don't need to nitpick everything,

You missed the rest of my post. As it's not perfected it's a quite bigger leap to assume they can now create the perfect illusion.

Except it's not a perfect illusion. It's made up of bits and pieces we've seen before in our memories. A perfect illusion would have been more realistic. You keep changing your argument now.

And it wouldn't be a perfect illusion if we were able to figure it out.  At best it would be a moderately above average illusion. :P

Edit: I would also like to point out that the Leviathans might only think it's perfect because no one has truly beaten it yet...:whistle:

You mean the blue bimbo that blew up along with the rest of the Destiny Ascention? Huh, that explains it.

Hey, go grab those electric prods to control us.  Jump into this light and we'll magically make organtic life the norm throughout the galaxy.  Yea... this is totally a perfect illusion.

No, pick the renegade choices. Shep taunts TIM to use the crucible asap to control them. The difference is if TIM wasn't indoctrinated he could just have opened up the arms for the Crucible to dock like Shep does, but he could not.

Since it isn't the real team, but rather imaginary TIM - it makes sense for the reapers to show shepard exaclty that so he would fall for control himself minutes later.   Control isn't bad idea in itself - it was all TIM - he was currupt and crazy and intoctrinated - he wasn't worthy to take control, and he could have anyway - because the reapers controlled him, and wouldn't let him. But YOU ARE WORTHY, YOU CAN, because of how special you are - and it will totally work for you. Go ahead. Grab those lightning rods. You know you want to.

Both Harbinger and Leviathan have an interest in you because you are special.
And they don't need you to be turned into goo ("The dead are useless.") but for experiments, because again you're special.

Well, I don't think it is at all. I mean, we knew indoctrination made people hallucinate before Leviathan. Now we know that it's better than enthrallment. It's 1+1 to me.

With what CT added too.

As said in my opinion it's the part to make the victim believe that was changed the most, not necessarily how strong the illusions are because we have zero evidence pointing to that.

Every single indoctrinated person got that way because he/she was led to belive that reaoers consider her/him special.

But it's just as much a leap to suggest the illusions weren't improved as the ability to convince the victim was improved.

If one was improved, I'd suggest it was more likely the other was too. That's what perfecting aims to do.

I'd argue that that's mostly because its a video game and we've been conditioned from numerous games with nonsensical endings to just trust everything that's thrown our way.

Who says that the leviathans didn't fell for the same conviction that Shepard is special, that the reapers made onto shepard?

And you know, since we are discussing the possiblity of Shepard getting indoctrinated though the course of ME3 - what do you think happens when you meld minds directly with a person affected by indoctrination? Correct - it passes onto you.

Sorry, I don't understand.

You say the quality of the illusion is proportional to the quality of the method (as in perfected/improved). But there is no evidence for that. We only know of random illusions (Cerberus crew on the derelict Reaper and prisoners on Virmire).
What we have evidence for is that the Leviathan victims are completely shut down, their original personality is on hold, while the Reapers victims are conscious and are reshaped so they believe in the Reapers. This is an improvement, but doesn't say anything about the quality of hallucinations.

The difference is that the approach also changed. Leviathans just take over the bodies, Reapers influence your mind to think the way they want you to think by stimulating your body chemicals.

Yea, I've worried about that too, particularly since she melds with all Shepards rather than just the ones that romanced her.

Yeah? The illusion takes place in Shepard's mind...which is stimulated by the Reaper-affected body chemicals.

This has been debated and dealt with long ago, I'm not going furthur into it because we've already established why you're wrong and you're not bringing up anything new.
