Yeah, it's cool, but more importantly it shows Arrival is canon. Again.draconian139 wrote...
K thanks, that's about what I'd heard. Didn't know the bit about Vega, makes me like him a bit more.

Arrival is canon but shepard doing it isnt. Shepard is forced to go on trial either way.

The Vega thing was fun. This is all from memory, so I might be missing some minor details. He's in Omega playing cards with a group of batarians, and has won a substantial amount of money. A news story comes on the TV about Shepard blowing up the Bahak relay. It's a batarian news station, and they're making Shepard out to be a terrorist and demanding blood, ect. Vega calms get up, rips the TV off the wall, and snaps it like a twig. The bartender freaks, and Vega tells him to take his winnings from the card game for the damage. The batarians he was playing with get pissed and start in on Vega for defending Shepard. They get into a fight, and he curbstomps them all at once. He winds up running from a pissed mob and Anderson appears out of nowhere and takes him aside. Vega says he's not coming back to active duty (he's still distraught over the events of Paragon Lost) and to just send him to the brig if that's what he wants. Anderson tells him he's not far off: he is going to the brig, but as a guard for a very special 'prisoner.'
Does this happen in Paragon Lost? I haven't seen it yet because BigBoss gave me a rather lukewarm review of it.

Not really, I done a play through with Shepard not doing it and they just mention a group of marines doing it and non survive and that shepherd on trial for being apart of Cerberus.

I like how they don't even pretend to make sense of it if Shepard didn't do arrival. "If anyone else..." "If anyone else what, Anderson? What did I do? Why am I here? Why am I really here?" "... Look, an elcor! *runs away*"

Yes. He's an engineer trapped in a vanguard's body.

That is an excellent summary.
Also, Jacob supports IT.

Bring Down The Sky - explains who the hell Balak is, and why he hates Shepard. If you didn't do it, Balak escaped and the colony was saved and you get slightly fewer Batarian war assets.
Lair of the Shadow Broker - explains why Liara is the Broker. If you didn't do it, she's still Broker but you don't get the extra Broker war assets.
Arrival - explains EVERYTHING in ME3. Shepard not doing it is like Bilbo not finding the One Ring during The Hobbit. If you didn't do it then you don't get some sort of war asset that I can't think of right now.
Stolen Memories, Price of Revenge, Overlord, Firewalker, Pinnacle Station are 'optional'.

a) All the **** s/he did on the shady side in ME1.
c) Wiping a star system.
If you did Arrival Shepard's docket includes a-c, else only a&b and the marines wiped the star system.

Shepard is a Spectre in ME1. The laws dont apply to her.
Neither Joker nor Chakwas were on trial for working for Cerberus, so I doubt thats why Shep is on trial.
Only doing Arrival makes the trial make any kind of sense.
