Of course the genes are affected, genetic diversity doesn't seem to be.
HOW DO YOU KNOW? You don't. That's your opinion you're trying to force into us that it's 100% right. It's not. We don't know until we know the specifics (This is the 6th time you're going to ignore this fact) so stop speaking in definites.
What definites? Also if there were less diversity we wouldn't even recognize the characters we know. They wouldn't even be human anymore (if they were human before).
Not taking anyone's side, I don't even know what you guys are arguing about. Here's what I think of Synthesis, Catalyst said that organics will finally let synthetics surpass them without restricting them and synthetics becoming more understanding of organics, so that creates an Utopia for everyone.
That is NOT acceptable to me, because organics will no longer "hate" due to the fact that they will have to be accepting of others that are different, like racists won't be racists anymore - so that is, to me, effectively eliminating their own personalities and opinions. Changing their genetics forcibly. Then in time, the organics and synthetics will eventually lose the very soul of who they are - maybe that's what Catalyst wanted, to have them destroyed in end with Reapers still hiding somewhere far away watching the civilization fall. (That's unlikely, though) I don't mean destroyed by reapers, but like there'll be no Shepard that'll be able to defend the organics/synthetics because everyone will allow anyone, even the enemies that will annihilate them all - like the Geth, but a different one that hasn't been touched by the beam, from another galaxy or whatever.
So yeah...no thanks to Synthesis, lol.
Edit: I mean I didn't read everything you guys posted, forgive me for not knowing what's going on!
