Why would I need a source?  It wasn't in the core game, and people were complaining about a lack of choice.  1 + 1 = 2.

I wouldn't be so sure. It could be an example of, uhm...darn, I can't remember the word. There is a fancy term of a phenomenon, which says that if something happens directly after an event, they are not necessarily related.

Or then again, I could be wrong. Perhaps it's only to quell some outrage. If so, it failed, as it only caused more "wtf?" things.

The quality of the EC is substandard and obviously rushed to meet a release date. Leviathan has tons of bugs and because the EC is interfering with it, usually signs of being rushed plus that the EC content is hacked in to be compatible. Omega is also obviously rushed. EC pushed work on other content behind schedule resulting in obviously rushed work.
The EC was not planned, there is no reason to believe opt out was but the fans crying for an option to do so, as everything else in the EC. Name one bit that was not "demanded" by fans.

Right, fine, sorry. I am most likely wrong, and I apologize for opening my mouth. I'll back down now, back to lurking.

Which you can. Though you're not quite correct, it wasn't the only thing.

Large commercial games getting more development time than 2 years as of now is becoming seldom, so that's what we have to work with. But it's not the only reason for bugs I think. AC3 got 3 years and yet it's still not perfect.

And so what, so it is rushed. What of it? It still got its message across (if IT was it). Also, if IT is what they intended, it'll be released after fans started to demand it. Will that make it also less intended?

You pick certain kinds of dialog choices, i.e. refuse everything he offers.

The difference is that the EC is exactly what you had read in the forums.

To me the most interesting part of the EC's take on the "new" refusal option is the lack of details in the future outcome...we essentially are told that the next cycle defeats the Reapers - and the assumption is that they use the crucible (but I don't remember this being specifically stated), and even more interesting there is no indication at all which choice is made.

And OT: No answers for my question at the top?

Sorry only have ME3 on Xbox360...

Edit:  It would be nice if they worked on way to play MP across platforms.

No it wouldn't - Console players would get outscored and rage quit.

Not me...its co-op after all, everyone gets all the points regardless of who scores them...but I do admit I am not even close to being everyone.  For me it would just be awesome to have the opportunity to play with more of the excellent IT community.

True, but the game diffires significantly between PC and consoles. PC doesn't have auto-aim, and allows you to to perform actions very-very quick, not to mention the pinpoint accuracy.

Well, I try too, but some people really make it hard for me.  And ME3's less obvious, and is already in a somewhat 'magical' setting with extremely sophisticated technology.  FC3 doesn't have that, and the writer even supports the notion that people aren't understanding the game.

I swear, if one of those 'journalists' played Eternal Darkness on the Gamecube, they'd write a review saying something similar to:

"This game is very badly written and makes no sense.  Weird things keep happening, it keeps jumping back and forth in time, and the game randomly crashes and deletes all my data and makes me restart all the time!  Unplayable!"

(If you don't know, that game really dicked with the player.  It would pretend to turn off the tv, mess with sound volume and give messages like "data files corrupted" all in an attempt to freak the player out when the mind-destroyingly freaking monsters failed to do so.)

i loved that game. The music is epic, the gameplay is fun, and to get the best ending you have to play the game 3 times choosing a different diety to free. The whole time you're being controlled by a multi eyeball ball of jelly looking diety that you think you've killed 3 times

The Gamecube version is the craziest.  Its the only version where Psycho Mantis unplugs the controller during a boss fight and forces you to switch to port #2.

Gamecube, totally underrated system.  All Nintendo's fault for their DRM nonsense with mini-discs.

another great game too. Psycho mantis was just a trip. Did you know if you took too long, you'd eventually have to use ports 3 and 4? I also loved the plot twist in the game :alien: between the two snakes, master miller, and between the DARPA chief and decoy octopus. and the whole twist in the ending about who's really working for who

Edit- top!  Happy Page 3175 folks!
