While we are on the subject of old enemies like the Scion. Does anyone know if the Collectors are still around in ME3. I know their base was blown up, but that does not mean they were all obliterated. There must be some out there somewhere.
And second, would you guys like them to return as enemies in ME3?
Yes, I would. Anyway, Firebase Hive (the last colletor ship) is as of now the only leaked material that has not been confirmed. It was leaked with the Earth DLC I believe, and the Earth leak was 100% correct. Also, my favourite reason for Collectors being in MP would be that they are a biotic enemy. That means a few things.
1. We can fight enemies with barriers that aren't super though/use certain powers and ammo types much more effectively.
2. They can use biotics against us which was lacking hardcore in ME3.
3. In MP, certain classes are generally good against certain enemies: Reapers=combat/soldiers, Geth=tech/engineers, Cerberus=all three/everything. That leaves a significant gap.
Collectors=Biotics/Adepts (Fixed the gap
)
I saw it more like:
Cerberus = combat
Geth = tech
Collectors = biotic
Reapers = all 3 (Cannibals for combat, Mauraders for tech, Banshees for biotic?)
Not in terms of 'strengths/weaknesses' though, like you did - but rather in what they represent. I can see the Collectors being added as a faction to fight, and single player DLC being added that has 1-3 missions with them (with or without side-missions as well).
The Maruders aren't all that "tech" though are they? Cerberus has deployable turrets and Combat Engineers which improve the performance of machinery around them.
Hmm yeah, good point.
Reapers = Combat
Geth = Tech
Collectors = Biotic
Cerberus = all 3
Sound good? (I know this was already previously said)
I kinda miss the mercs of ME2. Kinda. Sorta. Mostly the batarian death sounds.
Hey guys, I was reading up on the Miracle at Palaven codex and it mentions the Collectors, I think.
"The Reapers did not understand the seriousness of the threat at first--those that detected the landing crafts sent husks and
Collector swarms to intercept them, but little more. This allowed krogan commandos to link up with Palaven's resistance and hand off their payloads--warp bombs and fission weapons."
I don't know if this is saying that Reapers sent Seeker swarms or swarms of Collectors. I hope it means swarms of Collector troops b/c that means BW has the ME3 codex to back them up if they want to add the Collectors back into the game series in ME3.
What do you guys think?
