I just read part of the Synthesis thread. The amount of stupid and headcanon there is just... ugh, my brain hurts.

I can say the same for IT. :?

IT, by definition, has no headcanon.

Hi! Any news from BioWare?

Nope, but they're back at work tomorrow, or rather, this morning.

Good freaking question. Speaking of deception, didn't the kid say the reapers first noted the Crucible "several cycles ago"?

He also said he thought it had been wiped out Cycles ago, and they thought it was gone.

You know, ignoring that the Protheans - the cycle beforehand - had completed the Crucible.  And ignoring that the Reapers knew everything about them, and had them completely infilitrated, and that the Crucible project had been sabotaged by indoctrinated agents.

That lying little ****.  He was responsible for ruining it the time before, and now claims ignorance?

Yeah, not only that, but the point I was going to make was I just played Thessia, and Vendetta says:

"The Crucible is not of prothean design. It is the work of countless galactic cycles stretching back millions of years. Each cycle adds to it, each improves upon it."

Oh, and remember all the other stuff we thought was prothean?

Shepard: The reapers built the relays. It's all part of the same trap."

It's the only thing that makes sense... it magically appears when the cycle actually poses a real threat.  It's too easy to build and improve.  And despite both the Reapers and Cerberus appearing every place Shepard goes or interferes in everything Shepard does... they suddenly have no clue about the Crucible to let it be built in complete peace?

Then the fact it docks with no problems and sits docked for quite some time while you hash it out with the kid.... it has to be a bloody trap.   Otherwise that is really really sloppy writing.

Okay, this has been said maybe several times, but I am pretty sure that EDI says in the FOB that the Reapers are not engaging with 100% of their forces. She also cannot think of any reason why they wouldn't. The first time I heard that, I thought their would be some sort of clarification in the end, but there is none (yet).

Since I am not able to find this scene on the Tube, I have to kindly ask others, if they remember this scene as well, or if I am slowly getting indoctrinated??

Apparently there's a revised version of the There Is Only One Choice video that should be up fairly soon, that covers ME3's DLC as well!

Yes. You're not the only one who heard that.

Yes. You're not the only one who heard that.

So, I think it is save to say that this piece of dialogue heavily implies that there is something else happening, right?
If someone could find said dialogue or upload it to the Tube, I could add it to the IT's Top Ten list.
Btw, I think that is the single most important hint at the Crucible being a trap.

Edit: Nice to see spotless back on track again!

Along with the Datapad that talks about the beam, I'd say it is.

Yeah, why would they not engage with all they had if an unknown quantity, the crucible, appeared on the scene. I call BS and trap

That is an epic sig you've got there BleedingUranium. So many quotes, so many hints, so much foreshadowing...

@Doomsday:  I like the previous line in that message.

"Now an entire planet is dying because you lacked the strength to win."

Replace "planet" with "galaxy" and "win" with "choose".  Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Refuse, anyone?

Why can't the kid call a ceasefire while Shepard decides, since apparently even destroy is a "solution"?

What's even better, is that we learn from Leviathan that the Reapers perceive Shepard as a threat.

And that's why they're going to help him "find a solution"?

I actually think Refuse is the hardest choice to make. I am the only one here who thinks that probably.

I equate the whole choice thing to having left home when i was younger, my parents coming round to tell me to eat my greens.  I've left home and they're still telling me what to do?  seriously?

Yeah, i played through Leviathan again yesterday. It makes it all more harder to believe that the ending is just not what it seems.

And why would they add those hints in Leviathan when they said the ending is what it is?

Just doesn't seem right. Leviathan DLC came much later, the discussions on the endings were bursting at that time.

Something is coming.

when we ask the catalyst for more information, he just goes "sorry, we don't have more time"
as far as i know, harvesting cycles go on for hundreds of years and our harvest started...what, a month at best? i'm pretty sure he's well within schedule for him not to be worried about being late on his harvesting spree.

Maybe the Crucible doesn't blow up, but Shepard bleeds to death?

Just brainfarting here.

it's a battery, it must have an off switch. if the kid can make use of it, he certainly can turn it off for a bit.
