I'm still assuming that ME4 will be a prequel...which I have very little interest in unless its during the Rachni wars.

A prequel would suck. Unless they massively retcon the lore, biotics would be worse, tech would be worse, and weapons would be worse. No one wants to play that.

Yeah, I would genuinely consider passing on a prequel.

Prequels almost never end well. Its just more chances for them to mess up the lore. A sequel will probably involve continued fighting with the reapers. I highly doubt the reapers will be defeated in an expansion. Weve only been at war with them for just under a year.

Yea, I hope I'm wrong about it being a prequel. Its just that the galaxy can be in vastly different states even if you ignore the ending.

It won't be a prequel.

Can't tell. NDA.

I've already told you too much over these past months.

I'll be passing on ME4 full stop unless we get some serious plot twists, exposition and clarity in the remaining ME3 DLC.

You know of what is it I speak.

Therein lies the beauty of IT. it stands as pretty much the only way Bioware can make a sequel and not retcon or ignore the endings. And theres no headcanon required.

Byne I don't believe Bioware can do anything. Future wise for ME. They are stuck for a new ME game that takes place after ME3 because there are mutiple endings. They would have to pick one that can have a good storyback ground, and major conflict.

Most likely Destroy, and Control. Refuse offers the next cycle to fight the Reapers, yet in the end we know they are defeated, so what is the point?

I also don't recomand Bioware making ME games before ME1. It's a bad move because we know that all the cycles in the past were harvested. To make a new character knowing that no matter what you do the future is set in stone.

Unless they make the new trilogy about the Reapers origions, then maybe, but unlikley.

Ok, this thread has run it's course and is now closed.

DO NOT restart this thread.

You are welcome to create a group or groups to continue discussing this topic, but as with the romance discussions, this topic has a small number of vocal people (congrats to BansheeOwnage who posted 4687 times alone) which is better suited to a group than a forum thread.

Only way a Prequel would work is if its set in a previous Cycle (or Cycles!). Even though we 'know' how it'll end, the details will be very different and at least we get to see new stuff.

That being said, I want a Sequel. And I want my bloody questions answered!
