No, it can also support bad writing.

You're right, it could support bad writing, but combined with all of the direct (almost too obvious) lies by Bioware devs about the the end, it seems more like intentional writing. Really, I think everything is a red herring at this point. I know it can be difficult, but try to keep up hope. If anything, my disappointment with the endings has brought me deeper into the lore than I ever expected, and I respect the series even more for that. If everything has been so master(blaster)ful up until this point, who's to say it still can't get better from here? Until the final DLC is released, we should all try to keep the light alive, for just a little longer (even if it's a whole year from now).

Here's a thought.

The "Catalyst" and harbinger.
Presuming that the "Catalyst" is not just harbinger, but is rather the AI that controls the reapers...
Well, if the catalyst controls harbinger, are the two really distinct?
That is, does it matter from a "is this at all legit?" point of view whether you're speaking to Harbinger or some general reaper AI?

Guys you have to read what the time line for ME is

here is the site, and it's to much to handle;e. there are more races out there in the ME universe, than we think. Also here is this from the site.

http://masseffect.wi...m/wiki/Timeline

37,000,000 BCE

An unknown spacefaring race fires a mass accelerator round at a Reaper near the planet Mnemosyne. The round penetrates the Reaper, disabling it, and continues moving through space, eventually striking the planet Klendagon and creating the geological feature there known as the Great Rift Valley.

now what could have done that. Sounds like our Crucible can do that over time, with dlc wise.

And this.

The events of Mass Effect: Evolution occur. While aiding the human resistance effort on turian-occupied Shanxi, mercenary Jack Harper becomes embroiled in a plot by turian general Desolas Arterius to use an ancient alien artifact, the Arca Monolith, to convert the turian race into an army of invincible "meta-turians". Harper convinces Desolas' brother Saren of the dangers of the Monolith, which is "devolving" the turians into mindless beings under the Monolith's control. To protect his people, Saren orders the destruction of the building holding the Monolith, Temple Palaven, with Desolas and the meta-turians inside. Later, having realized that humanity and the galaxy face dark times ahead, Harper founds the human-survivalist organization Cerberus, publishes its manifesto, and assumes the identity of the Illusive Man.

An anonymous extranet manifesto is published following the end of the First Contact War. The manifesto calls for an army, a "Cerberus", to be established to defend humanity against inevitable alien attacks. Derided as "survivalist rhetoric written by an illusive man", the manifesto is quickly forgotten by the media.

Well it looks like Saren, and TIM were how do I say it worked together, and well Meta Turians sounds like Marauders doesn't it. And this looks like how Saren came to be Saren, and how TIM came to be TIM.

There is more, but you have to read it it's very mind blowing.

And guys Read what I have on the last page.

Bioware knew about everything on what they were doing, and it supports IT, and get's rid of BAD WRITING, i
f you READ what Otter, and I have.

Anyway, is there a way for us to get in a game without using the origin friend system or is that pretty hopeless?

Maybe. We could rendevouz here with chat or PM's, then someone creates a private match of the worst kind (platinum/ fb. goddes/ reapers). After that, he informs the other three of the type of match, they put it in the quick game search, and after the GO from the host, start searching for a game. If someone else joins, you kick him from the lobby, and when the lobby is full, you can change the game settings.
In all honesty, I don't think it'll work... :?

Good stuff, the expanded lore of Mass Effect is pretty high quality. Couldn't TIM be comparable to Shepard in the sense that they both initially fought against the reapers, but eventually ended up serving them (assuming the crucible is a trap and/or Shepard picks the control/synthesis)? Saren also shows some similarities.

Slightly off topic but related to the MP op -- I suspect the GWG farmers will take care of most, if not all, of the gold requirement for the allied goal, so it probably makes sense to focus on bronze and silver after the squad goal has been taken care of. At least we're getting an update halfway through this time.

Anyone else think leviathan is coming out next week?

The reason I've thought about this is because of operation olimpus, because I don't remember the last time bioware did an op right after another op,they're always 2 weeks apart.
So maybe they pushed it foward to this week because they're releasing leviathan next week.

Overwatch was 2 weeks ago. I'm thinking the 21st or 28th for Leviathan, depending on certification. They've technically given themselves a little wiggle room beyond that by saying "Summer" rather than "August".

I am look TIM, and Saren got there eyes from the SAME Reaepr artifact, and both were out to stop the REapers, butSraen feel under the influence of Soveregin. That is why TIM never left his station because the fear of being Indoctrinated. The writers of ME3 are bad.
Bad writers create bad writing.

A lot of people who finished the game followed by throwing their controller at their TV or putting a new hole in their bedroom wall may not have taken the time to examine why it is the way it is. Society needs quick answers because they are obsessed with going faster. They don't want long winded explanations about why things happened the way they did. They want a simple explanation.

A lot of people here as well as other places have taken the time to do the hard work for those who choose not to. Pretty much come to the conclusion that this was planned,  if people actually paid attention that is. However, some who play Mass Effect think it's some kind of mindless entertainment, and that's not quite what Mass Effect is. A lot of people might be playing the wrong kind of game.

Mass Effect is a game which makes you think on your feet. It's not a mindless action shooter/RPG hybrid for the masses. It's a niche game I guess you could say.

Been speculating on this paticular piece for some time as you may have noticed. While TIM says that Cerberus operatives found the weaponn which fired the shot and that it was inert. Still though he never specified anything on what it was beyond that.

But the Crucible turning the Citadel relay into a Ginat Mass Accelerator cannon...dosent sound to farfetched in my book and would be an advantage without beeing an Iwin button.

I know Munnelly, but the others are not really paying attention to what I have, but a few do, if only the people that call ME3 bad writing read the Comics, Codex's, and pay attention to what's happening in the game, the reactions will be different.
