I have horrible aim too. 'Tis why I play a vanguard, a demolisher, and sometimes a geth infiltrator using a GPS.

This one time, I got a headshot.

It was pretty cool.

I've suggested in the past that Harbinger is the real threat and all other reapers are just indoctrinated agents under his control, stopping him would stop the rest, but I still have a problem with a weapon that can kill him, I'd want there to be more to it than "point and click, harby is dead"; Harbinger is the reason this game never ended for me, the main protagonist(in my opinion) takes off never to be seen again to be replaced by the glowy brat, this is the first game I've played that had no conclusion to it from my perspective, I've done all the choices and always say the same thing to myself "That's it?"

That's it in a nutshell for me, as well. I don't understand the thinking that defeating TIM in the "control" room was the end of the story climax and the same as defeating the enemy. Never having the opportunity to really fight Harbinger was a tremendous letdown.

Also, someone mentioned the M-One Console in a replay of the Overlord DLC. I played through Prometheus and Vulcan last night and noticed in the control room of Vulcan when you confront the sad little medibot trying to destroy the lockdown controls that the bot has "M1" plastered across his forehead. I haven't found the M-One Console yet that the previous person took a screenshot of but I'm guessing it's just a console for controling the medibots. I also didn't pay attention to any of the other medibot foreheads anywhere else in the game so I'm not sure if the M1 thing is on all of them and/or this has already been brought up in previous IT threads (I only managed to read through this one).

Fantastic piece of music.
Here's hoping they make the rest of the game worthy of it going forward ;)

Never confronting Harbinger (or even talking to him) is such a huge clue that something is off. One of the reasons I like IT is that it means we actually DID confront him, just in a more roundabout way.

I'll be doing Overlord today or tomorrow myself, so I'll keep an eye out myself. I wasn't around for previous versions of the thread, so unfortunately I can't help you there.

For now though, I'm gonna go do some MP.

Not really.

I'm pretty lazy. I usually just skip to the most recent page when I wake up.

Well byne you should read the last 5 pages, they are very interesting, and Estebanus, and Banshee finally got to chat with eachother, and I have been a very speculation mode.

Nothing really Banshee, but major speculations on the last 3 pages, about TIM Saren, and the Comics are being used in the story of ME3.

Also been proving that ME3 is not bad writing, and have been using the Comics, Codex's, and game play, to prove that IT was intended.

Out of curiousity, what is this thread actually about now?

It can't just be about "dream theory" IT.

It never was.

This thread is for all speculation.

Besides. Calling the theory a "dream" is a gross oversimplification.

A better description of what we would term it would be; An allegorical and symbolic battle for Shepard's soul against the manipulations of the Reapers.

What we see could be happening, to some extent, but no matter what, unlike a dream, choices here have real world consequences.

The writers of ME3 are bad.
Bad writers create bad writing.

A lot of people who finished the game followed by throwing their controller at their TV or putting a new hole in their bedroom wall may not have taken the time to examine why it is the way it is. Society needs quick answers because they are obsessed with going faster. They don't want long winded explanations about why things happened the way they did. They want a simple explanation.

A lot of people here as well as other places have taken the time to do the hard work for those who choose not to. Pretty much come to the conclusion that this was planned,  if people actually paid attention that is. However, some who play Mass Effect think it's some kind of mindless entertainment, and that's not quite what Mass Effect is. A lot of people might be playing the wrong kind of game.

Mass Effect is a game which makes you think on your feet. It's not a mindless action shooter/RPG hybrid for the masses. It's a niche game I guess you could say.

Now that you wrote that I'm not sure I know what game ME then actually is. ME1 you could call an RPG with action elements. ME2 is a cinematic action game with RPG elements. ME3 is....well...with IT it's indeed a niche game.

But I have to admit that it did take me some time to arrive at IT. I didn't go straight ino rage mode the way some did. I just felt stuck on a level of confusion, I didn't feel like going mad because to me madness is not one step away from confusion.

But, what 'solved' the puzzle for me was, as I posted earlier, a good, objective and basic theoretical analysis of the plot that revealed that something seemed off with the story, but it was not the quality. It was the basic structuring. And that's what led me to IT. But then again, I think I spend (and still am) too much time on ME3.

I'd call ME3 either a visual novel, or an interactive movie.

Oh, to answer your question Byne: I liked the latest RvB episode but not as much as the previous ones. Specifically episode 7. Loved Wash eating through his helmet (Wash reminds me of me, especially in season 6). Anyway, the fight scenes in 9 were cool, but I still think it's a tad over-the-top. All the references to earlier seasons and overall dialogue were great though. Glad to see Wyoming talk for once (never knew why he doesn't have many lines, considering who voices him).
