So how about those marines who fight with much more resolve in the destroy ending?

It's Shepards last stand against the Reapers, and once the wave hits the Idoctrination part of Shepard is Shattered.

Oh I ment the Destroy ending. For that one.

I think that is very compelling evidence for IT. There is absolutely no literal explanation for this!

Hmm....I wonder what would happen if everyone in a match had arc grenades and used them at the same time against a horde on MP? My prediction: AWESOMENESS!!! :P

I played a gold game with 3 typhoons yesterday. If I were Cerberus I would just give us the credits we would have gotten for beating it in exchange for letting us leave Posted Image

I have a Typhoons:D, but no destroyer yet:(

When you get him just don't spend any points on the missile, don't make the same mistake i did

Get the missiles. They underrated, but they're good and very funny.

Funny... but useless...

Not useless. Celery seems useless, but it's not. It can cause distractions if used properly...  (MacGruber....)

Well to sort of get back on track.  I notice alot of ME4 talk here sometimes.  Personally, I don't want ME4 and if they do it probably shouldn't involve Shepard.  But it's just my opinion, no need to go spreadin it around. Posted Image
I was thinking about what they would do if there was an ME4 and how they would deal with conflict, given that the Reapers should be dead by ME4 (or cooperative if the endings were in fact meant to be taken literally...here's hoping not.)  I think that the threat the Reaper tech poses would be a great plot point, especially if someone like Wreav got a hold of it.  it is sort of like even if the Reaper's are gone, their tech and the power it provides is still a threat.  it could also make the player question whether the Reapers were right all along, and that organics are doomed to follow their own self-fulfilling cycle, or if there is still hope to restore the balance.
Not exactly on-topic but I thought it might help.

So, has anyone considered the possibility that the destroy option destroys not the Reapers themselves but rather the Reaper collective? In other words, it sends out a signal with the the relays that corrupts or destroys the Catalyst's hold on the Reapers?

I suggest this because it would bring an explanation to the Arrival "game over" image of Reapers attacking each other. The Crucible might operate with the intention of turning the Reapers against each other. Any thoughts on this?

No offense, but basically everything in the game is very useful, just not always easily usable. That's the difference between and overpowered weapon, and one the appears to be OP because it's easy to use.

I tried using a predator. Your argument is invalid.

Predator has strengths and weaknesses like any weapon.

It will be a Reaper relovution, only Sheaprd, and the Leviathan would lead the rebel Reapers to fight Harbinger, aka the kid/Catalyst, and epic battle, and wedding for Shepard after that.

Yeah, nice timing!

I think it was agreed that those marines are in Shepard's mind and it's a symbol of how she's fighting Indoctrination, rather than the half-hearted attempts in Control/Synthesis when Shepard's already given up. Though I suppose in a literal interpretation, Destroy is still seen as "Renegade" and that's always been more of a "get it done no matter the cost" sort of thing, but I don't really see why Shepard's attitude would be reflected in the soldiers if it's not in her mind...Besides, Paragon (or even neutral) doesn't mean she'd just roll over and die, either.

Well from an IT perspective, there is no catalyst-child and thus no collective. But that theory is similar to the one where the crucible is an unindoctrination device that frees all thralls. If you combine this with my (and others') theory that the reapers are indoctrinated, they could be "set free".

Of course it has,but predator is more useful when playing on Bronze or Silver, but i prefer the Carnifex while playing gold.

Exactly, paragon and renegade are just 2 means to the same end. The important part is, like you said, the marines have to be in Shepard's head. Her resolve is highest in destroy, and that transfers to the fake marines' resolve.

Sure, I love the carnifex too; great for headshots. I'm just saying one weapon is never just-plain-better than another. That's all. Posted Image

Predator has a large amount of uses. Expecially when fully upgraded. Quarian Infiltrator w/ fully upgraded predator and Mantis. Enemies stand no chance!!!!  I still prefer playing soldier and I am just waiting till I get the Earth DLC to test out the Destroyer / new guns!!! I'll be unstoppable!!! BWAHAHAHAH!!!!

Lol I actually had a Banshee grab me through a wall yesterday. Literally. We were doing the Escort objective on White (Random, on Platinum...bad idea, apparently :P) and she was inside that room people camp in and we were just going around the side between those two...crates or whatever, by that corner. And all of a sudden I'm getting sucked through the wall and executed inside that room. I might've been horrified if I wasn't laughing so hard.

Once I get my N7 Engineer we should just set up four of those - we can sit out a platinum match hiding amongst four supply pylons

It was far less unsettling to hang out with a younger crowd then.

But what does this have to do with Indoctrination? Are we not dissecting Hackett's message following the last Multiplayer mission?

We were, but it seems like more of a "just you wait, there's more to come" message ;)
Would NOT be surprised if they release SP stuff within 2 weeks.

That's why we're gonna win this war. The Protheans were too similar. We stand a much better chance. Javik knew synthesis was bad. Making everyone the same doesn't help anyone.

Too bad it took the reapers to bring us together...

So.. when is the next "big thing" coming out regarding Mass Effect? (and by big thing I mean big thing. Not movies/animes/comics or something else ridiculous)

Im still worried that there will never be an announcement of something epic and that what we got was all we were getting.
