Harby does not miss at all. Last time I checked, we got full-blown hit by that big laser, resulting in Shepard being heavily injured and being shellshocked.
I didn't notice a difference between the original and the EC when it comes to the Harby beam. I'll have to look again to see what you're talking about.
But if what you say is true, than I wonder why BioWare chose to cut to a white screen before you're actually hit. Maybe because BioWare realized how insane it was that you actually survived being hit by such a beam?

No offense intended, but why do you care so much? Of course it's good to hear different points of view but you don't need to burst a blood vessel over it. In my opinion, if it's true all well and good. If it isn't, oh well. I'll just move on.
Oh don't worry, I'm not bursting a blood vessel, unless you can burst a blood vessel from laughter? Dunno, is that even possible to burst a blood vessel from having the giggles?
Well, at least you have a realistic view on all this. Unlike certain people who say they'll always believe in IT and nothing ever will make them disbelieve it.
Fair enough.

You didn't actually read my post, just admit it. If you had you would have seen that in my version, Harby shoots down one of the small fighter ships that were distracting him and it lands almost on top of Shepard, knocking him out and injuring him. Please go back and read my post fully.

not long until IT is confirmed by BW now
I wouldn't get my hopes up. The dissapointment will only hit harder when BioWare doesn't confirm anything and at the end of it all the IT turns out not to be true.
Funny fact:
I used to be an ITer myself. Not as hardcore as you folks. I was just desperate and the IT gave me hope. It was only a matter of time before I realized how silly it was ot believe in the IT. When the EC was released, that's when I completely stopped believing in the IT. It's when I started to realize the whole of ME3 was just badly written (or mediocre at best), not just the endings.

Just because I have strong feelings about sonething means I'm not realistic? If it is false I'll obviously accept it but I will headcanon IT as it makes a helluva lot more sense than your **** "bad writing theory"
I can't wait until we can finally rub this in your face making you out to be the pathetic **** you continue to act. So much fun, and even if it doesn't come I can still be happy knowing I had faith in something rather than being a dick who spends time laughing at another's interpretation and calling them delusional and spending so much time in the IT thread despite Chris telling you to stay away.

I did read it. I just didn't see you justifying Shepard surviving the hit from the beam. I still don't see it. Are you just completely retconning the beam hit and replacing it with Shepard being hit by a junk of metal? Or what?
Retconning is not the same as explaining you know.

Nonsens. Stop repeating your retarded wonnabe arguments.
Learn basic English please if you want me to take you seriously. Even masster blasster writers better English than you.
Also, colouring your "arguments" red and making them cursive doesn't make your "arguments" any stronger.
Colouring my "arguments" red and making them cursive was not for making them stronger. Just to distinguish them from your lines. Interesting interpretation, but wrong.
As for bad writing: If you believe the writing of ME 3 is bad than that's perfectly fine with me. But it's just your opinion, nothing more. If you are really interested in the discussion of the writing and / or IT, you should stop trying to force your opinion as the ultimate truth. And your harsh tone. Because it doesn't help in taking your intention seriously.

Ah BSG, you were gone too soon. Speaking of corporate overlords ruining and rushing a story, EA is like the SyFy channel of videogames. Rushing production for profit, denying writers the time to finish a story properly, and putting more money into media that appeals to the lowest common denominator.
So you do admit that story of ME3 is rushed and badly written due to EA pushing BioWare to appeal to the masse and to release their game ASAP for maximum profits. Or do I misunderstand your post?
Im not admitting anything. Ive always said EA doesn't give a flying f*** about the story and when Bioware told them they needed 6more months to complete the game, EA said no and the story was compromised. Its common knowledge that there was an attempt to use indoctrination during the ending which could be the complications Bioware wanted to work out or its possible EA said no to indoctrination due to reputation of appealing to least common denominator.
If you read the article MaximizedAction linked instead of worrying that he might try to trick you, you'd see a professional writer talk about the ending and how ME3 stopped before resolving the story. The plot was finished but the story wasn't complete.
He also mentions IT and assumes that EA said no to IT because there is so much seeded within the game pointing to it but me3 failed to deliver on tue foreshadowing.

But I prefer how he (accidentally) foreshadows the Catalyst.... And then proceeds to (accidentally) foreshadow why people don't like the Catalyst.
Vigil: "The Citadel is a trap. The station is actually an enormous Mass Relay. One that links to Dark Space, The empty void beyond the Galaxy's horizon. When the relay is activated, The reapers will pour through and all you know will be destroyed."
Shepard: "How come nobody ever knew the Citadel was an inactive Mass Relay?"
Vigil: "The Reapers are careful to keep the greatest secrets of the Citadel hidden. That is why they created a species of seemingly benign organic Caretakers. The Keepers maintain the station's basic functions, they enable any species that discovers the Citadel to use it without understanding their technology. Reliance on the keepers ensures that no other species will ever discover the Citadel's true nature.
Shepard: "But what do they get out this? Why do they keep repeating this pattern of genocide over and over?"
Vigil: "The Reapers, unknowable. Perhaps they need slaves or resources. More likely they are driven by goals organics cannot hope to comprehend. In the end, what does it matter? Your survival depends on destroying them. Not understanding them."
As far as "Random guys who pop up and give you all the exposition" go, Vigil is probably my favorite. Vendetta was no where near as cool.,

I've read that article, trust me.
But I don't get you. Everything you say actually confirms it: Mass Effect 3 is a rushjob, the plot was rushed, resulting in a mediocre, possibly unfinished plot that has plenty of holes in it and even if BioWare wanted to introduce indoctrination as game-mechanic, they didn't. Even if BioWare wanted to do something with indoctrination, they didn't. So the IT could have been true, but it isn't. Blame it on EA, blame it on the writers, whatever, but I got the impression that the writer of that article thinks exactly the same: There was potential for indoctrination as a plot device, but BioWare never had the chance to implement it in their final game, meaning that whatever BioWare planned, the ME3 we have now is all we got.
The fact that BioWare expanded on the current endings that we have now with the release of the EC pretty much confirms that BioWare themselves accept the current endings, tried ot make those endings better and aren't planning on doing anything with the IT. If they did plan on doing something with the IT later, than why did they release the EC as it is now? Why not implement the IT in the EC? Why release an EC that expands on the current endings at all?

The seeds of IT were planted in the game at the earliest.
Bioware couldn't pull it off. EA needed the money. Bioware did what they could with what they had completed. Ending is reworked. Game is shipped. Work on EC began soon after release. Bioware didn't have the time to make everything from scratch so made current endings better using assets already in game.
IT isn't dead.
Its in hibernation waiting for dlc like the Puzzle Theory suggests or at some point Bioware is going to release some form of media either confirming or denying IT.

I haven't been an ITer for a long time friend. I stopped believing in this theory around the same period the EC was announced. All the EC did was put the final nail in the coffin of the IT. That's when I completely abandoned the IT, like many of my friends did. I still come here once in a while to argue. Maybe I can convince some folks to wake up like I did and abandon the IT like I did, although I doubt that anyone who still believes in the IT at this point is easily persuaded into abandoning the IT.

He doesn't get hit by Harbinger's beam. Period. My goal was to eliminate plot armor- and, since there's no reason that Shepard has to be hit by Harbinger, he only has to be knocked out and injured, a fighter falling on him is more believable and doesn't have nearly as much plot armor.

Well to be quite honest, I'm not sure if the seeds of IT where planted in the game at the earliest. I've read all the leaked material that leaked back in November 2011 and nothing in that leak said anything about indoctrination.
Wait... no... that's not true... I remember something about indoctrination being in the leaked script but not in the final game. Yes, it was about the Virmire Survivor and Kai Leng. Yeah, it went something like this:
Kai Leng confronts Shepard and the Virmire Survivor. Realizing Kai Leng is outnumbered, he confronts Shepard about working for Cerberus and spending too much time on the Collector base and near Object Rho (or something like that). He then tries to make the Virmire Survivor believe Shepard is indoctrinated. Then you need to pull off a couple of succesful Paragon/Renegade persuations to convince the VS that you aren't indoctrinated. If you succeed, the VS believes you're still clean from indoctrination. If you fail, the VS will attack you and you have to kill him/her.
I wonder why this was cut from the game. Perhaps because it would be too cheesy. Or perhaps because they really did plan to do something with the IT, but completely abandoned the IT when it didn't work and therefor also didn't use this confrontation in the final game. The latter would mean the IT is probably dead.
