OMG guys I found the new areas on the citadel!

It still shocks me at their use of low quality sprites, you don't even have to get up close to see how bad they are, if I had been the developer I would have preferred complaints about empty space rather than put those ugly things in.

You aren't supposed to get there. Per design those low-res objects are viewable only from distance. Putting a high-res object there would be a waste of processing power without gaining any detail. Level-of-Detail algorithm would always kick in and make those objects appear low-res anyway.

I'll try and ask them about their personal opinions on IT tomorrow.

You should do that. Just be careful how you say it.

Oh, don't worry. I've got my way with words, trust me.

It's not my opinion lol you're the one who said it "it was more of a case of me not giving a damn"

And you associated that with the assumption that I don't give a damn about the IT, which you then associated with me not supporting it, while afterwards jumping to the conclusion that I'm an anti-ITer.

Hey guys, I'm back. I have a little project I'm doing about the IT, but I don't know if I should do it, since I feel like I've done enough already.
But that aside, I want to know your opinion of the Destroy ending, both before and after the EC.
Is it still the right choice? Is the refusal ending the right choice now? Or are both the right choice? or none the right choice?

Estebanus fully supports IT, but no longer belives IT was intended by BW or that it will be realized in future content. Does that about sum it up? A lot of other ITers don't think BW intended IT either. Personally, I don't see how they couldn't have. Whether they release IT in DLC in an entirely different discussion.

lol I never jumped to the conclusion that you were an anti-ITer and if you want to backpedal off what you said and say that I'm making wild associations then talking to you is useless.

Yeah, pulling a gun on them in a high-security building doesn't seem like the smartest idea. I'd only have the courage to do that if I'd have my sister with me, and she's currently still recovering from her gunshot wound.

I'm starting to feel that way myself, but only because it looks like Bioware are attempting to make MP central to the story line, MP holds no interest for me, I want my story in my SP not some offshoot.

I also want someone to ask why the apparent moral of the story was something like this:
The villains were right all along; the hero and associates were just too stubborn to realize it. Also, free will sucks, and gets everyone killed. Better to force something on everything in the galaxy." Posted Image

I think the moral was snuck into some of Javik's lines...

Javik of course was worked on after the ending was finished...

"Victory was never achieved without difficult choices"
"The Galaxy has never rewarded the naive"
"War is atrocity commited in the name of survival"

I know how it's done, I have a mod myself to do it, but as I said in my post, you don't have to get up close to see the poor quality, you can see it standing in any normal location.

Apparently it is. You know what I do when I find something useless? I don't see anypoint in using it any further.

I think destroy is the only right choice if taken literally. As for IT, destroy is correct, but I don't know about refuse. My personal opinion of refuse in IT is it works, but not as well as destroy.

Those are all ambiguous when it comes to the ending. Forcing everyone to become a mix of synthetic and organic is repellant. A difficult choice, and I would say an atrocity.

I don't think they help with IT at all.

Yeah, if you think about the choices at all, they're not difficult. Also, referring to the naivety, I think trusting the Starkid is extremely naive, so that does help IT.

I am of the opposite opinion, I believe Bioware did intend IT but may have royally screwed up the execution, not enough people recognized that things may not appear to be what they seem when the game was first released, all hell broke loose(Hold the line, Take mass effect back) and Bioware had to act quickly to quell the outrage, I suspect Bioware knew there would be some outrage but completely underestimated how bad it would be.

I think it really comes down to Leviathan. Unless there are some huge hints dropped in Leviathan towards indoctrination, IT is dead.

Well I definitely agree with that last part. I don't think they royaly screwed up though. I think the playerbase screwed up. Seems like most of the fanbase is oblivious. Did you see that tweet that Maximized posted from one of them that said something to the effect of:
Deal with the press as if you're dealing with the police; anything you say can and will be used against you" ?
So they knew what they were doing when they lied before release...

That's what people said about the EC.
IT won't die, the people's interest in it can, but not the theory as it is. It is set in stone in ME3 and Bioware would have at first get rid of all the clues, ambiguities and oddities. THEN IT will have their permission to die. (:P)
