But the EC files say that the first reaper was Harbinger. How can the leviathans have created the reapers if that indeed were the case?Drewton wrote...
I've just read on these forums exactly that that's what going to happen based on what's been leaked.
I wouldn't be surprised, the DLC is supposed to reveal more on the Reaper's origins.

If they became the FIRST REAPER, then, who made them to, despite they didn't approved? Who turned them into the first reaper? And how? The harvest is the way of reaper reproduction, but if there were no reapers how can they reproduce, or make someone become a reaper?

Everything about it is ridiculous, but in the literal version of the story, this is a fact according to Starchild. The dialogue is already there, and not just in game files. He also says "The Reapers are a synthetic representation of my creators."demersel wrote...

So (spoilers) this makes sense if the Leviathan looks like an organic version of a Reaper.

If it looks like a reaper, talks like a reaper, indoctrinates like a reaper (which it all does very much so) - chances are high IT IS a reaper. ))))

TIM would approve of this!

No, this is wrong, boring and uninspiring. )))
Reaper are really the the product of evolution of some parasitic micro fungus or moss - they are not even intelligent to begin with. )))

I'm sorry, did you just use the words "starchild" and "truth" in the same sentence?
P.S. Really people! This "Starchild tells the true origin of reapers" debate looks like trying to talking about the biography and origin of the Joker from "The Dark Night", using his stories about the scars as clues to his real identity.

Wrong - in the literal version the starchild says: "My creators? you wouldn't know them, they became the firts reaper, the didn't want to... bla-bla, anyway it's not important, choose one of 3!"
If you're so eager to be literal - why did you ignore the part when he says "it is not important."?

True story. Somewhere in the old thread i mde a very long and detailed post outlining their possible origin. Initially they were some fungus or bacteria with one need - to feed - and one ability - to indoctrinate and subvert. Reapers are really not even sentient. ))

Not necessarily. Logic is like a network of roads. Imagination is the ability to see a route through that network that no one else sees.
