What have I taken offence to? I asked for the evidence of your theory and got nothing but a "well where's Arian's evidence" which doesn't make a lick of sense. You called his theory uninspired and uninteresting which is your opinion but a rude one to voice, you could have just left it at uninteresting if you had to say anything at all on the matter. I did not say you attacked him personally. Once again you're twisting everything that I have and have not said around in a knot. Please stop doing that.

Okay... this must be confirmation bias or maybe it was something I smoked.

I don't hear anything Reaperish.... but now that I've got my headphones cranked up to the max, I suddenly keep hearing the words: "The child lies". >.>

It's like a chorus of voices. The first word I could make out was the second word; 'child', then the first word sounded like 'the', then the third... 'lies'.

This is probably my imagination, but that was what I suddenly understood. xD

*puts on tinfoil hat*

Freaking creepy!

EDIT: Slowing it down, nah it definitely doesn't say 'lies'. There is no audible 's', it stops abruptly.

EDIT 2: Oops, the cut-off was my own fault, there actually IS an audible 's'.

Very interesting. The more I listen to it, the more human the whisper sounds.

Okay it doesn't say lies. But ....without an 's' it makes it spell lie. Lies or Lie. Either one is fine by me!!

I'm not 100% convinced I'm not imagining it, but the more you listen to it, the more convincing it sounds. Very human sounding, too.

As for "where's your evidence" - for the last hour or so i'm searching the old thread for my post, cause it is a bit long, and i doubt i can replicate it from memory - so far nothing- this forum really need more search function.

But while I am at it, why do you ask me for evidence, before you even hear me out, and say i should respect something, that i already stated I found uninteresting, just because. Why not ask for evidence for this fan-fiction story, like you ask me for mine, even before hearing me out, (not that i was really going to present any theory i mentioned that just to make a point -  re-read the forum - i was given a link for Arians Origin story, i didn't ask for it it wasn't the topic of the conversation we were having at the moment. It look like - "Here, read this!" - I did, and voiced my opinion, which is a thing to do when someone comes to you out of the blue, gives you something, and says "Read this!"  - What do you do? You say " Hey, that is awesome!" or "Nah, that sucks!" (some people also add " and you're stupid!" part here for some reason - but THAT would be really rude thing to do)

And my initial point was - it could as well be anything else entirely.

There is something there.. But. Question - why would this phrase if it is a phrase even be here? I mean why here? Who is saying it? If it is sayin "the child lies" - how can it be? at this point shepard doesn't know that he'll meet the catalyst. And the earth child as far as shepard concerned is dead.

Doomsday, it's sounds like the Rachni speaking to Shepard. Remember, when the queen used the dead Krogans to speak to Shepard, well it sounds like the dead Krogan being Controld by the queen. So are the Rachni help Shepard/ the player to worn Shepard about the child.

Yeah, it's weird, because if that's really what it says, the emphasis is on 'child', which is why it sounds kind of unreal. Not sure if valid, TBH.

It really struck me the first time I suddenly 'heard' it. It wasn't like I was actively trying to come up with what the third word could be.

It would be cool if it was real, but it doesn't make sense IU, unlike most of the other evidence we found.

Not sure it sounds like the Rachni. I like your idea, but it seems so out of place in that scene.

At first I thought it was more like "The child laugh", but it does sound more "lies" when you crank it up. Interesting, not clear enough for me to say it's proof but they did already add "Serve us" with the EC.

Then i think we should leave it alone. ))) I mean to we really need some noise\\voice thingy positioned randomly in the game, to know that the catalyst isn't trustworthy (even in the literal interpretation)

Also. An idea came while i was watching the vid. 

The normandy escape.... and in fact the whole EC - it is tailor made to dissolve all worries of the player of the potential plotholes in hasty, vague, dreamlike manner  - like further improve the grip of the idoctrination  -

Oh, you worry, how your teammates got to the normady? Why, it came down, and pick them up of course! How could they abondon you at the most crucial time? Why, you told them to, you silly goose, couse you need to know, that thaey are alive and well!   How did Hackett know that you're on the citadel, while Coats, says that noone made it? And further more Why Coats say it while you walked into the beam? Why, hackett got the follow up report! Why was the normandy running? Hackett gave the order to leave the sector when crucible started charging! But how could Joker leave! Well, that's the thing!!! He couldn't! In fact he was the one that didn't want to leave! He's that devout! Other teammates had to beg him to leave!   but what appened to the galaxy after the explosion, why, here's what! And the normandy? There you go! Don't you worry! Sleep tight sweet prince!

True, but to be fair, that 'Serve us' sound turned out to be said by the Tuchanka Reaper as well. Not that that makes it any less interesting. It's more about who says it and the timing of it... Harbinger, right before the beam that hits Shepard. Very creepy.

Nope, I said i didn't like it because I thought it was crap. That might have been rude, but the creator is not on this forum. Arian is.
