Magnetite...

Personally, if Bioware doesn't provide some IT related content I'm not going with IT as my interpretation. I still think this is a smart company and could very well have something up their sleeve. But no, the endings as is are still unacceptable to me. The whole damn thing doesn't make much sense and was horribly executed, even if the EC had been the launch ending. So for me, if IT isn't every confirmed then it isn't real. No credit for different interpretations, if they had this in mind then give up the goods. I have no problem moving on

If IT is never proven (Don't say it never will as YOU DON'T KNOW what's happening at Bioware) it's better to just learn to accept the literal endings, no matter how painful that may be.

If not, everyone'll be angry at ME4 etc. because it is not IT.

However, IMO IT is going to be proven at some point, so the above is basically a contingency plan

Part of the problem is that an IT related DLC would likely be the final DLC. So even if Leviathan contains little in the affirmative for IT while still providing a few clues and insinuations, there'd be no reason to close the door on IT. Or they could be slowly filling things in. I guess I'm still undecided as to whether Bioware is really willing to be that cold to such a dedicated portion of their fanbase. I'd hope they would have the spine to eventually (re:not 5 years from now or on someones deathbed.) Admit to it once they get what they want out of dlc & mp. Fine, sucker me out of a few more $, whatever, just say yes or no at some point.

"we....never...intended...mmmff....I....erk....T...unghhhh..beep...beeeeeeeeeeeep" Yeah, that won't cut it.

I still find it very believable that IT will be implemented in some fashion.

I'd rather it not end up being a $10 fan inspired "alternative ending" dlc, but it would still be pretty awesome. I think even those ambivalent towards IT would be interested in it.

So I just asked Chris Priestly if there was a chance we'd ever get closure with Harbinger in future dlc. His response to me was, "Harbinger would have undergone whatever choice you made at the end of ME3 such as synthesis. Not sure what more needs to be done."

Mass Effect is now officially dead to me.

The 'not sure...' part rings hollow. They know full well a harby confrontation in some manner or form is a popular notion.

Hmmm Jessica Merizan just said something very interesting though. I asked "Can you give an answer to why Harbinger never spoke in me3?" She replied, "we know that's what you hoped to see, but sometimes we have other ideas we want to explore - never get too attached to a plot" It's that last part that gives me some small shard of hope.

why they were so willing to retcon two games worth of awesomeness in favor of the little god boy, but will stand behind him in the name of artistic integrity is absolutely beyond me

So I had a nice chat with Jessica Merizan a little bit ago, and we were talking about what kinda DLC Bioware would be making for ME3. Anyway, I asked her if other DLC will be adding on to the endings the way Leviathan does, and apparently, there's a large chance that they will.

Quote: "Just wait and see. I'm sure you won't be disappointed."

EDIT: F*ck, I missed Banshee again! Damn you, timezones!

This could mean that the endings aren't entirely done until the year is over, and ME3 DLC plans finished.

Cheers for the info este!

I'd be happy for the DLC to either prove IT or, if that's out of the question, for the puzzle theory (I think that's the one with each DLC adding stuff to make refuse lead to a victory)

AS LONG AS WE GET SQUADDIE CLOSURE

this thread is nigh impossible to stay up to speed on... Navigation is a nightmare.

I noticed something rather odd recently. If you let TIM shoot you in the final confrontation there's no controller vibration and they make a point of never showing shepard actually getting shot or dying. The camera intentionally pans over your shoulder and zooms past what is presumed to be you. Rather obviously avoiding any visible proof of shepard being shot. Whereas when you shoot anderson there's loads of vibration, as well as when TIM shoots anderson.

And this is just a thought I had, but does it seem to anyone else like the lines shepard speaks are reversed? Like paragon is really renegade and vice versa? Could be nothing, I have yet to review the ending with this thought in mind.

Hm, all this back and forth from them...I have yet to experience such amount of confident two-mindedness IRL.

But, at least this together with this might give a statistical probablily that some of it might take place post-ending

Maybe they'll add a breath scene for refuse in Leviathan? Or some other cliffhanger-like scene?

Other than that, WNT is also a perspective I would be happy with if "main-IT" is proven wrong
