More obfuscation from Bioware.

I'm getting rather tired of feeling trolled.

I agree. I feel I may join estebanus and change my status from believer to supporter at this point. I really am at pretty bad IT low right now. Almost on the edge of IT depression. I know FFZero's post changes nothing but the negativity is just so bad for my confidence on IT right at this moment. :(

PS. On top!!! ^_^

Does anyone think that there will come a point after all of this speculating and stuff, even if they do release an IT DLC that no one will give a ****, at all.

Can't help but think of what Mac Walters said. He said they make a rough draft of the story and fill in the blanks. Maybe they wrote the beginning and the end of this game first, then just filled in the blanks. Perhaps the ending was written when they first started working on the game.

For some writers, it's a lot easier to write the ending first, than to work from the beginning to the end.

Exactly! All the bad writing, and rushed for time arguments make no sense to me. I just refuse to believe they would even begin work on the final installment of their trilogy without having an ending in place.

They wouldn't make 97% awesome with no ending and then think "oh****!" when time ran out. Rushing through a mediocre "polarizing" ending. Taking care to edit out all the things that EC put back in. Naw that's 1st grade stuff.

Coolio, if they release an epic IT dlc...yeah I'll be elated

But def starting to no longer care. I'd be more pissed about not giving a real answer than how it all ended by then though

I didn't mean to kill IT for so many of you :(

If it helps at all I'm feeling the same way.

Also, slightly off-topic but I forgot to mention it earlier, to any of my fellow brits in here Jessica and Chris are going to try and come to either Eurogamer or the MCMEXPO this year so lets try and get as many IT fans together as possible.

That's my main concern actually. I feel like we're fast approaching a tipping point where it will go largely unnoticed even if released.

If they're holding back something that would totally blow our minds (like IT) I doubt they'd have taken so long.

Perhaps the number of downloads on this new DLC will give us some idea of how much people do or do not care.

Unfortunately, I gotta postpone the release of my script until the fall vacation, in 2 months. There's simply too much work to do for university at this point.

He also said that when when it comes to writing, "they know where it's supposed to begin; they know where it's supposed to end". Fill in the blanks in the middle.

Also, he said they don't just do one draft. They will change the story until they are completely satisfied with what they've got.

This whole idea of a rushed ending doesn't fit with that statement.

It could happen if BioWare waits too long and people get tired of speculating.

She also said something I find quite disturbing. The reason why Synthesis is seen as the best ending by some BW people is the fact that like the Starbrat says, it is inevitable.

They used quite a lot arguments that sounded reaperish, they are indoctrinated! :D
No seriously, they fully stressed it's really up to the player, and I think that it is great.
And yes, Chris said they don't plan on confirming one of them, but as always it's unknown what the future holds. If tomorrow Casey decides otherwise they will do so, but for now they don't plan on it.

Apparently it's not up to the player because no matter what you decide synthesis is inevitable. Who the hell came up with that idea?

Mega

If IT is true then the story remains unfinished

That both are right and nothing else is needed is absolute ****ing PR bull ****.

IT requires further elaboration. None of this "sure guy! We meant any ending you can think of to be a valid interpretation. No worries guy!"

Horse crap

Casey and Mac.

Although, I hope that by that they mean peace, not having to literally destroy organic life.

@spotlessvoid no I don't think it's just PR, it was the one of the first things I thought about they tried to do, and I believe it. You can read some of my older posts. I usually gave it the benefit of doubt that it might be literal, even though I think it is indoctrination.
All in all you can clearly say the first part after beaming up is, but you can just guess if the second part (the one with the Guardian) is too. I mean the first part is pretty straight forward, but for the second part you just can't tell.
