Was the Ending a Hallucination? - Indoctrination Theory Mark III!

Like many long time Mass Effect fans, my initial reaction to the ending of this trilogy was to stare blankly at my screen, stupefied, grasping at non-existent threads of logic. This was quickly followed by an explosion of words that can only be described as simultaneously eloquent and deeply profane. This was the ending? Dumbfounded and crestfallen, the more I thought things over, the more questions and plotholes came crashing down on me. I breathed in deep, exhaled slowly, quieted my wave of fury into a simmering rage and headed for the internet.
Over a hundred pages into Something Awful's Blasto killed Harbinger ME3 spoiler thread, and with the full insanity of what a literal interpretation of the ending implied of Bioware gnawing at me, I decided to start a new game on insanity importing my still recently completed me3 save. I couldn't get past Mars. So I returned to Something Awful, lurking for over a hundred more pages, trying to understand what Bioware had done to one of the three video game franchises I truly loved. Fallout, Half-life, and Mass Effect.
Then a lifeline appeared. A well reasoned plea and a link brought me to YouTube, Acavyos opened my eyes. Feeling rejuvinated, I promptly set out to examine every piece of information I could about this fascinating theory. Something Awful was no longer of any use, they reviled the very mention of indoctrination, and their generally unwavering cynicism had long grown thin. I played my first few rounds of post release multiplayer, enjoying myself but with the ending still looming large in my mind.
Indoctrination theory had given me a new perspective, but I was skeptical enough to put down my controller. Finishing my insanity run with a high enough EMS to get the destroy breathing scene was also still out of the question. Casting aside all the warnings against entering the BSN by the Something Awful clan, I googled "indoctrination bsn."
Thank you byne, and everyone else that has been involved with keeping this theory alive and thoroughly researched. I have been lurking daily since before this thread hit 150 pages and truly feel a sense of solidarity with this group of users. I NEVER post on forums, but last night I decided I could no longer keep silent.
I will hold the line.

Doing a frame by frame analysis of the Starchild, there does seem to be an oily shadow coming from him. It's kind of hard to see though. Happens pretty fast. It is not an actual shading effect. It's an oily shadow that moves in his hair.
It's the electrical equivalent of hair gel.

I don't think so. Wasn't happening anywhere else that I could see.The other shader effects were white and clear. This was a black moving shadow in his hair.

Also, sidenote, while making this post a launched the game to look at the add one more time - found something interesting. in the presidium commons, there is another ad, that looks like it has Jack's face in it. It's unclear what this ad is for. it on top of the elevator enterance slightly to the right.
I don't know what to make of it or what it means.

Reposting my very post. To remind myself why I truly love Indoctrination Theory so much. It's barely even about the game anymore. It's about all of you. I'd inevitably stop caring that much about the Mass Effect Trilogy. I'll always remember what we've done, together. You people are awesome

Lots of pessimism
Why? I really don't get it.
Your shepard is alive, with more story ahead of him. Everything will be ok.
At least it is more than those who take the endings at face value and chose control and syntesis can say - Their shepards are dead, the dtory finished, the whole universe FUBAR, and Mass Effect turned out to be a rip of in total. )))

And i'm saying - i really fail to see a reason for it - Leviathan is coming out soon, also it is only the first peace of SP DLC. There is a lot more ME3 in store for all of us. Why with the long faces?

If I recall, Doomsday found that during the black-borders shots during the TIM encounter the background noise is actually a slowed down reaper horn. TIM aint pupeteerin, a reaper is. Don't have a link on hand for it though. He also found a noise in the Normandy Evac scene that he thinks is "The child lies." through his tinfoil earphones.
Also, Zerebus found an interesting tidbit from Kaiden which could be construed as foreshadowing.
And Raistlin found that the reaper code in the geth concensus was covering... information that would debunk the Catalyst's argument. Eeyup.
TJBarty engaged troll mode. Spotless and Masster followed suit. Then some others started getting worried so while they weren't really trolling we had to engage defensive protocols. Then plfranke showed up to be an ass and insult people for no particular reason.
FFZero, Esteban and others got some info from Gamescom. As usual the community managers are being either coy or self-contradictory. And people got upset over that for some reason so some of us had to remind people the simple fact: What Bioware makes will matter. What Bioware says doesn't hold any weight any more.
Oh and 60 pages ago I made a Wall of Text to remind people that IT doesn't make the ending superfluous.
Also I'd hug you, but I'm Canadian. Unless you have fur and hibernate for half the year, you wouldn't survive.
