I began thinking through the options at the end again. I believe and support the IT. I was thinking if what happens at the end is in fact real and not a hallucination or dream, then Synthesis is the absolute worst option.
Why? It is an extraordinarily presumptuous option when you think about it. One man/woman choosing to turn every man, woman, and child in the galaxy; be they Turian, Asari, Human, Drell, Geth, Quarian, etc... into some kind of synthetic organic hybrid without any regard for what anyone else's wishes might be. It's horrible to even think about it.
I don't know how I would feel if I woke up one morning and looked in the mirror to see some green glowing eyed glowing veined freak looking at me. One more reason why I can't believe any of what is happening at the end is real.
I also noticed something else. At the beginning, just before the boy climbs onto the shuttle that gets blasted, there is a big yellow "Caution!" sign in view from one of the camera angles. It is very distinct. During the confrontation with the TIM, the camera quite a few times when it is on Shepard, shows his gun with a great big "Caution" stamp under the barrel.
You might say, that is just a texture decal, but it is only present on that particular pistol, and it is focused on a lot during TIM confrontation.
Yes, I agree. I just don't see how they could support what is essentially galactic rape. I'll just repost something I wrote:
Well it's not really that simple, but if I had to stick to one piece of evidence, I would go with this:
The utter improbability that Bioware would write such an awesome, deep game with such great lore and characters, then apparently forget all of those characters, break the lore, and release a generally unsatisfying end the their awesome trilogy. The end of ME3 is arguably the most important part of the series. But then,
after that, release more awesomely written DLC. How could they be awesome, screw up very badly, then be awesome again? Doesn't make any sense! So my biggest piece of IT evidence is BW screwing up that badly, because it simply makes
less sense than the endings!
As for the Carnifex's caution sign I'm leaning towards "it's a coincidence." Though there is extensive pistol symbology at play, so it could mean something. Also, The kid and his warning signs is a big hint. The only time you can talk about the kid (to Garrus), when you mention him the camera angle changes do display a warning sign in the main battery, then back to normal after that. There is also a
unique warning sign beside his vent. It has a lightning bolt (no control?) and I have no idea why you should be careful about electrocuting yourself in a vent. On the same sign is "code 89" - Police code 89 means a crime against nature = reaper.
