Lol I'm not sure, but I'm much more looking forward to this www.youtube.com/watch
I think HellishFiend has put a lot more thought and in-depth analysis into his upcoming video that go far beyond the "evidence" or clues that the IT documentaries cover. ^_^

Thursday or Friday is the latest estimate. Though Julian is quite the delay fish. He's milking this for all it's worth.

"IT-dream" is the theory we discuss here. "IT-con" is The Twilight God's theory that is discussed in the "Control, synthesis, and refuse: the indoctrinated endings?"

I'm reading that itcon thread now..

Got me thinking again how ridiculous control sounds. Starchild actually admits that controlling the Reapers is at minimum near impossible since TIM, incredibly smart, savvy, and willful as he is, is not up to the task. It isn't a stretch to say that TIM is second only to Shepard in sheer will power and get **** done track record. Yet he has zero chance according to starchild. Shepard though? It's a lock.

Sounds so plausible...

Twilight God:

The option to control the Reapers is entirely dependent on the existence of the Star Child. That is, its supposed purpose is to rewrite the Star Child with Shepard's thoughts and motivations. The Crucible was not designed with this in mind. In fact, none of the Crucible's designers knew anything about the Star Child. The Catalyst is the Citadel as far as anyone knows. When you first see the Control console it is powered down. The Catalyst is the one whopowers it on as you approach. It is the Catalyst's suggestion. Your entire basis for even believing Control can work is the endorsement of your nemesis, the Catalyst.

Question: Why is Chris Priestly so interested in keeping this thread on topic while many of the others meander? To keep us discussing IT? But why?

It just seems silly to me... adding in more weird things to the EC that might point to the IT but then doing nothing with it. No IT DLC. It's just an absolute waste.

Oh no, I don't actually believe that they are still taking that road but it just seemed odd to me.

I'm not sure if it got updated in ME3, but the codex in ME1 and 2 still said that Sovereign was just a space ship and not a Reaper and still said the Citadel was believed to have been built by the protheans.

thats actually not an error, the codex was written as if it was an in-universe item, not something for the player. so until the reapers showed up, everbody, including the codex people, thought the citadel and relays were prothean built.

I never meant to imply it was Bioware's error. My point is that our only information about many things, including Omega, is from the codex, which is written in-universe and thus not definitively true.

Last I checked, they were indeed different things. EA Montreal made all of the pre-rendered cinematics for ME3. Another reason why it would have been easy to change this:

anybody remember that one war asset for the crucible that was able to map the location of every reaper in the galaxy in real time? what was the point of that? that has to have some connection to how the crucible works, with the current endings it means nothing (like most of the ME series with the endings)

MB, you make me lose more faith in humanity than /b/. let that sink in.

Ah yes, the interferometric array. We have dismissed that claim.

In all seriousness though, I am very surprised no one brought that up before. We have one, yet the crucible can't just kill reapers? What's the point of adding it then? Also, I love all of the science BW puts into the games, it's great! That's why I don't believe the ending...

Banshee, what are you referring to when you post that screencap of the red splosions? Just the fact that the chain reaction starts in the wrong place, or did I miss something else? I've missed a lot, so I'm just not sure. =)

Yes, exactly right. I suppose I can be a bit vague sometimes. :/ Anyway, yeah it's a clip that is all of maybe 10 seconds, and is obviously wrong to the point of everyone knowing about it, yet they didn't fix it in EC. Only reason I can think of for this is it is symbolic and doesn't need "fixing" = IT. Just like everyone knew about the "Admiral Anderson" thing and that wasn't fixed. Still, I just can't get over the fact that it starts where the indoctrination most likely started, and resembles Shepards brain either clearing indoc, or getting overcome by it.

That's what I thought you were referencing. I really like that theory, because if you've seen images of the universe, it looks incredibly similar to a human brain cell.

Have a look at this image. I think BioWare wants us to connect the dots.......literally.

EDIT: Ugh, it will not link. xP Just search "universe looks like a brain cell." I mean, if don't you already know what that looks like. You probably do. =3

I don't believe IT, altho I wouldn't mind BW using it to salvage the lore travesty that was ending/EC.

I do like those documentaries by clevernoob, are they still coming out?
