I think that real beauty is in a persons soul, and not in the face. In fact any part of the body is as telling of the persons soul as the face or eyes.
I made a movie abound that idea. It's about young highly ambitious architect, who's working on his dream project and makes a presentation for it to some wealthy potential clients. But their response is "Meh...". and they give him like a 100 stupid alteretion and memos, to implement, (think Fountainhead by Ayn Rand). So h'es crushed and in the mental dead end. He won't compromise, but he also won't back down either. He gets insomnia, and to fight it he takes up jogging. And one night, while jogging, and argueing with the clients in his head, his gaze fixes on the as% of some female jogger. - his interest is not sexual - it is just a thing that strikes him as perfect - and takes his mind of his problems and daily worries - he relaxes and due to mental and physical exhaustion instantly falls asleep. So this episode puts things in motion and eventually allows him to find a solution to his problem, by looking at it from another angle.

Of course, this isn't all of the movie. They even have sort of love story second storyline, (he meets this girl again several times).

This weekend, i''l make english sutitles, recode it, so it's not 25.9 gigs, and upload it on vimeo, or maybe even youtube, so i'l be able to show you guys.

Dermesel, I'm going to tell you one thing.

That is a load of BS.

You're right in that whole "inner beauty" thing, but the fact is, physical attraction IS actually a factor in a relationship (take it from me, I know first hand. My last relationship was with someone I felt little actual attraction to and... it didn't go well.)

As for the perfection thing, ever heard of the golden ratio?

How about that Indoctrination Theory you know, that thing we talk about here?

Sure speculations might be low now but that doesn't mean you have to go off-topic, start a new thread or go to a group discussion or take it to PMs.

That's.. interesting, and I believe Otter mentioned the walk to the decision chamber resembling nerve synapses in appearance as well.

The first two images in the link above don't show up any more, is there another source for this idea to look at?

They are gone, but as the internet is known for it's ability to keep things till the end of the universe, you can still find them on google: it's the first two pics when you google "Campbell Biology mass effect".

The first one's obviously from the game, the second one's from a book on Biology.

And yes, I still think that dead trees do look similar to nerves. Moreover, I also still think that the trees in the far background move in a very periodic way, a way that reminded me of a heart beat.

True love is blind.

Once you care about one person significantly and solely, their imperfections become perfect to you, like. But that's just my opinion. It turns out every girl I feel an emotionally connection to has a boyfriend. Just gotta be patient everyone ;)

So, I've been thinking about what the Reapers are looking for in London since they are up to something there since before the Thessia mission and I have had an idea.

The trinket that the asari Consort gives Shepard is indicative that the Protheans were studying Cro-Magnon people. This group of early humans did wander around in the European area. What if the Reapers found the Prothean notes on our ancestors and stopped by Earth to do some kind of experiment? Either by 1) hiding some Reaper device or 2) some kind of genetic tampering? Perhaps both?

I suggest this because the Reapers may have found that the most descendents from this experiment are located in London. This would mean that harvesting the population there might take on a higher priority, though what their overall intention is remains a mystery.

Any thoughts on this?

Hey everyone! Just wanted to post a reminder to look out for Choose Wisely Episode 1, which will finally be coming out tomorrow.

Link to the trailer

Description:

Thousands of hours of collective speculation and dozens of hours of filming and editing come together to provide exposition into the themes of the Mass Effect trilogy. In these upcoming videos, we will walk the viewer through these themes, ask thought-provoking questions, and arm them with the knowledge they need to Choose Wisely.

Features:
30 minutes in length, and fully narrated.
A great soundtrack, including 2 tracks by Jack Wall for those of us that miss his work from ME1 and 2.
Several topics and tidbits that have never been discussed in the IT thread before.

Turbo and I have some thoughts on this, and they should be in an upcoming CW episode. :)

Let's just say that we think there is a lot more of a connection between the Humans and the Asari than we have been led to believe.

anybody remember that one war asset for the crucible that was able to map the location of every reaper in the galaxy in real time? what was the point of that? that has to have some connection to how the crucible works, with the current endings it means nothing (like most of the ME series with the endings)

MB, you make me lose more faith in humanity than /b/. let that sink in.

Reading the Crucible War Assets alone, i've come up with a theory, if everyone knows this i'm sorry.

The Haptic Optics Array scanned from Canrum, Hydra, Argos Rho.

The Haptics Optics Array is an experimental computer user interface, Cortical implants allow users to "see" screens projected in front of them. A user's eye movements are tracked, syncing to hand gestures as they sift through data. While disorienting at first, people using the Optics Array report increased efficiency, and the technology has been adapted by several dozen engineers for use on the Crucible.

Sort of like interfacing with the Geth Consensus, but this time in real-time.

Interferometric Array scanned from Eletania, Hercules, Attican Beta.

Normally interferometric arrays are used to analyze planetary landmasses, or to determine the astrophysical properties of stellar systems. The powerful array salvaged from the Hercules system can be used for something much more ambitious: the Crucible tunes into the mass relays' command switches. Installing the interferometric array into the Crucible's systems results in a real-time map of the entire galaxy, including the position of each and every Reaper in the Milky Way.

This combined with the Haptic Optics above will allow to see every Reaper in every system.

Prothean Data Files scanned from Zion, Utopia, Exodus Cluster.

These Prothean discs were found years ago on Eden Prime, recovered a few months before the discovery of the Prothean Beacon in 2183. For years the data on the discs was incomprehensible, until the Crucible's blueprints provided the key to understanding the equations. Locked inside the discs were theories on dark matter meant to be used with the Crucible's main power source.

+
Dark Energy Dissertation obtained from Conrad Verner during Citadel: Medi-Gel Sabotage.

Published years ago by Dr. Conrad Verner, this doctorial dissertation on xenotechnology is a lengthy but intriguing argument that dark energy causes a minute but empirically observable difference in the passage of time. Hotly debated when first published, the paper's theory is supported by recent data. The dissertation illuminates several instructions left by the Protheans on how to build the Crucible.

When activated, Dark Energy is used along with Mass Effect generator to fire something in a faster time than when the Relays propel something.

Javelin Missile Launchers scanned from Watson, Skepsis, Sigurd's Cradle

Developed by the Alliance, Javelin missiles release dark energy upon impact. This creates devastating space-time disruptions, magnified warp fields that strip away a target's molecular bonds. Even the strongest kinetic barriers will eventually collapse after multiple impacts from these rockets. Alliance R&D commandeered several colony factories, and now produces enough Javelin missile launchers for all dreadnoughts in the allied fleet.

Should have enough power to disable a Sovereign-class Reaper's Kinetic barriers.

The Crucible combined with the Citadel is a giant cannon, and Shepard is the Catalyst, someone who has interfaced with Virtual Reality, Vendetta will enable Shepard to integrate using the Haptic Optics Array, target every Reaper using the Interferometric Array, launch Javelin Missiles faster than Mass Relay Travel (using Dark Energy) at any Reapers in any system s/he desires, disabling their Kinetic Barriers allowing the united fleets to destroy the Reapers.

What exactly is "Choose wisely?" Is it some kinda film about the IT?

EDIT: Oh, I forgot to write this. I'm Estebanus' sister. He's allowed me to use his account while he works on his essay and other work, so please be considerate if I decide to ask questions.:)

@Troxa: The first doc was nice and seemed the most objective of the two (soon to be three) documentaries.

However, this vid, you can see him convince himself that IT is real...then start to doubt...then crack...then get p*ssed
