Well, I did mention in some other place that Kane could have sold me Synthesis where the Catalyst could not. And the only thing required to make it happen would have been to push a button, muharr.

As derp as Tiberium Wars is in other places, that is one of the cool things within it.

Sure, but you have to alt tab anyway, replacing the image than saving so it gets uploaded. It's about the same.

Is it coincidence that one of the tracks from the EC is called "Convergence" ?

As for the beam being a trap, well, come on they barely know anything about that bright light and what it does and if Doctor Who has taught me anything it has taught me you do NOT wander aimlessly into unknown beams of light.

Not really. That's the synthesis epilogue track, so the name was clearly deliberate.
Of course synthesis is likely galactic scale indoctrination IT or no IT but that's another debate.

...is what I would've posted if that were also the title of the Synthesis epilogue music in the EC OST files. But my file is called "05-I Am Alive And I Am Not Alone". So I'd rather like to know where the video poster got the title from.

EDIT: To clarify the "holy sh*t": As already mentioned before 'convergence' is also what settings on the TV are called that are for the RGB colors. And if that track were indeed called that way in the files, then that would also fit visually as the Synthesis epilogue features an RGB decomposition at certain times and slides...even the Synth. shockwave is not merely green but has red and blue portions.
That would've put the Synthesis ending perfectly interpretable with the word convergence, which might've put more credibility to that 1M1 interpretation.

I guess the youtube poster was just trying to be clever.

Think those were put up before the "official " EC soundtrack was released and the user found the music within the original files or something. It's explained some where on YouTube.

I'd presume from the fact that Sybthesis is convergence of flesh and steel.

It doesn't really make sense in the context, but if you remember the cut derelict reaper dialogue from ME2:

"Join us, and you shall never be alone again"

I think the title/dialogue could be some kind of nod to the reaper influence. EDI was very clear that if she were to be rewritten she would have no choice but to serve the reapers...
