Rule 1: Bioware lies. It's also highly likely that Chris doesn't know about it and even if he did, he'd still be obligated to call it false, since it's supposedly this big secret by Bioware. Also, it's rather suspicous that he showed up within an hour of the thread's creation, although I'm not sure how mods decide what threads to drop in on, so it might be nothing. Plus, he had 2 typos in his post and it wasn't really worded as well as his posts normally are from what I've seen, and, assuming he did know and/or was sent in for damage control, those could be explained by being distracted or wanting to squash the rumors as soon as possible.

I don't actually believe in this "Project X," but I just thought I'd point out a few things on why Chris's post doesn't disprove much.

Uh-huh. And from what I understand, it wasn't carried out because that was Karpyshyn's gameplan. Not Casey Hudson's. So far, it seems like either Casey has had IT planned all along, or he really thinks the A,B,C ending was the best way to go. Either way, I must reitterate, I do not think a single thread on the BSN is going to derail his plans, whatever they may be.

I noticed his hurried response, too. Typos and promt action mean he was typing fast to try and get that down "on paper" as soon as possible.

I just don't see the CleverNoob person making up that big of a lie. Either he was lied to by someone he -thinks- is in BioWare's inner circle, or it's true, and this is just BioWare's way of trying to throw people off the scent.

Then again... that would mean one of them is Julians source, which is very unlikely

Absolutely. EA wouldn't want an untapped market. ITers who want a wake up shepard DLC are probably the most likely people willing to cough up the cash.
