New Leviathan trailer, more documentary speculations, and this "Project X" thing...happy tidings today, I see.

This Project X has redoubled my hopes. I still feel like Seneca's proverbial dog railing against the cart he is chained to, but now it looks like perhaps the cart may be taking me where I want to go.

This project X seems kinda shaky to me. Chris Priestly said it was wrong.

I said I had hope, not rock-solid evidence that proves definitively that IT will happen :P

I still maintain that if this really is some big secret project, the forum mods probably wouldn't know about it. I used the example of the Simpons "Who Shot Mr. Burns?" two-parter before. The producers had many alternate endings written, drawn, animated, and voiced to keep the production staff from leaking anything. Large-scale productions like television, movies, and video games need to keep information on a need-to-know basis because of all the potential for leaks.

Also as I said before, a denial is the only response that will be taken as a denial. "We can neither confirm nor deny" is invariably taken as a tacit confirm that something is going on. Bioware also has an interest in preventing people from getting their hopes up too high again because of what happened last time they did that....

Watching the new Leviathan Trailer;

Shepard: Doctor?
Doctor/Leviathan: Why do you pursue me? *breaks glass*
Me: Ohsh*t!

Should be, at least, awesome.

Yea we talked about that scene; how weird it is that the doc has a reaper voice and that Shep and Squad are holding their ears when the glass breaks (infrasonic noise?), just read the last 2-3 pages ^_^

Hey everyone! Just a quick reminder that Choose Wisely Episode 1 is coming out today, at 6PM CST (90 minutes from now)

Hope you are all doing well! I miss the days back when I spent most of my ME time in the thread, but I think this series of videos Turbo and I are working on is a far greater contribution than I could otherwise make. That being said, I still feel like a part of this community and would like to thank all of you for helping to inspire me to make these.

Choose Wisely - Episode 1 Trailer

For those who dont know, Choose Wisely is going to be a series that focuses on the themes of the trilogy, and how they apply to the endings. If you havent already, check out the pilot video for the series, linked in my sig below.

Yay! Today is the day of documentaries.

Assuming Leviathan takes control of other husks rather than create its own (which I doubt it would, it'd be much more effective to steal from the reapers husks), this reaper sure does look handy.

Also, without even thinking I watched The Abyss the other day and now I'm especially hyped about going under water in this DLC :)

I doubt that the noise is infrasonic. Low frequencies don't break glass. High frequencies, on the other hand, very much do. Conclusion: ultrasound. If I'm wrong, correct me.

Wasn't my idea :P
I think it was that loud noise (something like opening a rusty metal door) you could actually hear in the trailer (sound pressure)
We'll find out on Tuesday I guess ;)

I assumed that the noise made the glass break. Posted Image Not sure but ultrasounds exert higher pressure on obstacles than infrasounds.

How do you guys feel about the whole Coats thing, the first time I even heard of it was in Noob's video.

Assuming you're talking about what I think you're talking about...

It's just the model they used for the body having its helmet removed. You can't use flycam footage that the player isn't even supposed to be able to see to prove something.

Yes, I was expanding on my thoughts. Posted Image

Choose Wisely should be online in 30 minutes.

Oh you mean like the explicitly programmed gun switch Carnifex->Predator at the Destroy tube?
Yeah, totally random model, when there's a hatless non-Coats model idling around in from of the beam....

Twilight...clevernoob does a pretty good job of explaining both why it's more work to use Coats and speculates that it may be placed for later dlc

I'm going to have to disagree with you on that.  Why use Coats in the first place? He wasn't modeled to have on a helmet so that means they had to tweek him in the first place to put the helmet on his model. Why not use the random soilders? Why use someone who we know can't be at the Citidel? More on to that why did they make him and that Keeper disappear? If he was supposed to be part of the map then why not leave him there? I think they did it to add fuel to the fire.  Maybe it means nothing or may be it means something big but it is odd as heck for BW to do that.
Edit: All of the ME3 charater models are rendered on Z-brush if I'm not mistaken. (I might be but the same rules apply) I have first and experience with the program and I know you can't just pop on a helmet on to a model and make fit with out clipping..ect. So this means that they would have picked Coats model, tweeked it or tweeked a helmet to fit him. But why that model is the qustion...

No it doesn't
[/soundgeek]

Actually I've not watched the trailer. Playing some MP with FFZero & a couple others.
Got talking about whether or not BW will use indoctrination theory to provide new content.

This is my thoughts:

Yeah, at this point it's very difficult to see if they're going to take the massive open goal filled with money presented to them or miss and kick themselves in the face so hard they **** out their own teeth.

That's also kinda why I've been quiet.
That, and I really like money. And not having leviathan spoiled any further.
That is all, resume speculations.

If anyone wants to sum up what I've missed I'll bake you a tray of cookies    perform unspeakable acts    be terribly grateful.

So, what's the deal with the rumor that the Reapers are throwing a giant house party while Starchilds away sometime first quarter 2013?

It's captured by a flycam. So what. You're not even supposed to see it. It will never pass as legitimate evidence. It's like saying the docking chamber doesn't exist because Bioware didn't render the entire Crucible. Only other people predispostioned to believe the your theory would accept such incredibly weak arguments.

I used that phrase a lot when referring to what I thought BW were probably working on in youtube comments and such...

Actually... I got a message a week ago asking about "Project X" from one of my youtube comments.I think they'd grasped the wrong end of the stick.
Let this not be my doing :D
