That's a very very very very very very very good question. Why can't the people who don't believe it just leave us alone or be polite? We don't bash people for believing the literal interpretation. At least, most of the time.GethPrimeMKII wrote...

Unnatural? The IT is unnatural? How...
Whatever, if you really dont want IT to "ruin everything" then stop going to these forums or just stay away from threads clearly dedicated to it. At the very least you could stop poking your head inside at the main thread of the IT, that is just asking for it.

That's very respectable. Likewise, if IT is actually disproved, I will do basically the same thing. I will be disappointed, and very confused, but not angry. I may or may not buy a BW product again.Heretic_Hanar wrote...

Counter question - What will you do if it does indeed prove IT?
Apologize in this thread. I'm not even joking.
I will shake my head in disbelief though, because I personally think the IT is a stupid plotdevice, no offense.
That said, if Leviathan proves IT I demand that BioWare gives us the real post-IT ending to ME3 for free. If they first prove IT but then refuse to give us the actual ending of ME3 that we deserve than I don't think I'll ever buy a BioWare product ever again.
That makes you think though. What everyone on BSN needs is in fact a confirmation or denial about IT. Soon. I can wait a long time (i.e. until the DLC cycle is over) but unless they do one or the other there will be a constant unneeded schism on BSN.

I guess you're giving people too much credit. Your first mistake is assuming people actually understood the games' story.GethPrimeMKII wrote...

@ Arian, it doesn't say a gender on his/her profile, so I don't know. I've almost always been right about deducing the gender of posters here though.
Edit: I like the gender ambiguity the internet offers. This thread anyway. It allows you to see a person as just that: a person. It doesn't matter in the slightest what gender they are.

Sorry for my complete lack of be-online-or-give-a-**** lately.
Anyone know what time tomorrow Leviathan is releasing? I'll end up playing it after work for hours, but I don't want to end up on here and have even more stuff spoiled
That said,as soon as I've finished the game I'll do a datamining dump here ;P

I see. I kinda assumed it was a waking dream/hallucination until I got to the very end where Shep started breathing. That seems a little unlikely if he was on the Citadel.GethPrimeMKII wrote...

Can someone explain what these abbreviations mean? IT-con, WNT, etc?
I just beat the game a couple days ago and checked out this forum then. I assumed it was intended for the player to think that some or all of what was happening after the Harbinger beam was dream/waking dream/hallucination/indoctrination attempt (not quite sure yet myself), and when I saw there was debate, decided to check out these threads.
I don't fully understand IT-con or where its name comes from. WNT stands for the waking nightmare theory which suggests the events of the ending did happen for real, but Shepard's perception of these events were twisted by indoctrination.
IT-con seems to suggest similar things which is why Im confused as to whether theyre basically the same thing or not.
Still not sure exactly what happened. I need to play through at least another time or two to really make up my mind.

Oh well.
Tell me about it. I have friends who started with ME3 and refuse to play ME2 or 1 to further their understanding of the story. On top of that they shut off dialogue options in ME3.

F--- ENGLISH AND IT"S LACK OF NEUTRAL GENDER THIRD PERSON SINGULAR.
Since everyone uses "they" and it's cognates as neuter third person singular anyways, I've been trying to support that anyways because he/she is stupid and should be saved for special cases like when discussing Shepard in the general. Of course, then we will have the same problem as second person in English....
F--- ENGLISH AND IT"S LACK OF PLURAL SECOND PERSON.
Either way, I did not know spotless was a she, and I feel like an idiot.
SO THANKS.
