Im not playing it either, not giving any money till I know this whole IT thing is true (and then I will be throwing money at them).

I'd like to see if any IT stuff comes out of it though

@StElmo: For me Mass Effect 3 is more than just IT so I'm ok with buying and playing DLCs. And given I still have hope for IT to be true, I'm thrilled to find it out for myself.

Fair enough, I just can't help but feel like this IT thing may be a tactic to get people to buy DLC - seeing as they haven't denied it, nor have they hinted at revealing it.

But yeah, have fun!

The most popular misconception regarding IT is that evidence to prove it hinge on post ending dlc being released. Post ending DLC is just icing on the cake. IT depends on thematic evidence that is already in the story for proof. It is the only theory that accounts for all of the oddities in the ending using the lore and nothing else.

@StElmo: Thanks. Even if it's a marketing tactic, you still get the product you want and can play it (provided you can connect to Origin), get to know new story details (even if non-IT) and spend some time with ME characters. + visit a new area on the Citadel. :D

I really miss exploration missions. And yes, I liked hammerhead more than mako. - mako missions were copy-paste, and mako combat wasn't interesting in a bit. The hammerhead on the other hand had some interesting missions, and even integrated some platforming element. (Oh, the things you could do in a hammerhead!) - and Overlord had some really great maps and missions for the hammerhed....

That might be fine for some people, but I have to believe it was disingenous of BW to support IT as a valid interpretation, given their whole "Take Back Earth" Marketing and pre-release commentary. Unless of course they plan on allowung you to eventually wake up, or have some kind of IT DLC.

And for me? I can only believe something that I think is true, I don't just like to interpret, I like to know for sure.

In that light i thing that Mass Effect 3 is a TREMEDOUS storytelling achievment. And is in fact a Role Playing game.  It proves. that the role playing element shouldn't rely purely on stats and game mechanic. - and it is the story that counts.

OK, sometimes they were annoying when you had to get from A to B fast.

No they weren't. Climbing randomly generated rocks was not fun. In was tedious.  And even if the Mako itself was fine - the maps were terrible.

Those parts of ME1 really reminded me of those free 3D technology demo games that you'd get when buying a 3D acceleration card back in the late 90s. And those were AWFULL.

I agree with you insofar as in the current state of the game, IT allows for the whole "Take Back Earth" to have never happened. And while something like that is probably not uncommon in fictional stories (e.g. American Psycho), it would have been at least less anti-climatic if we found out that the whole Reaper threat never happened and everything after the Eden Prime Prothen beacon was just a vision. At least, that's the best compromise I can come up with that doesn't exclude 'artsy' twists.

But if the hint would be that it is rather 'probable' that we really did end the war, then why not make it a bit more climatic...Bioware can make me feel like I accomplished something -- I'll never forget the ending of ME1. Feeling like a hero and THEN find out that it was 'just a hallucination' would still leave me more satisfied than what I have now.

So yeah, I too feel the need for something that makes me feel the ending of the story, and not just being told that it is the end.

I agree that those maps weren't state-of-the-art and ME2 brought a much needed improvement. The funny thing about controlling the Mako was that the way it moved made you hope that you could climb up all the hills whereas in reality the vehicle fell down from steeper ones.

All in all, driving the Mako might have been amusing but it was unreliable.
