I wish people wouldn't get so obsessed with Leviathan "proving or disproving IT." Even if by some miracle they do confirm IT, I don't believe it will be in this one DLC. This is shaping up to be like the hype with the EC where everyone thought it would either prove or disprove IT, but then it turned out to do neither, and then both sides claimed it either disproved it or added more clues. That's probably exactly what's gonna happen with Leviathan. It may provide more clues, but it won't prove IT, nor will it disprove it (though people will try to say it does.)

As doubtful as it is, even if they confirm their direction was similar to IT, it likely won't occur until they put out their LAST sp DLC. They want us to keep buying their products and confirming or denying IT could lose a portion of their fanbase either way. It also makes more sense from a storytelling perspective imo.

well, my soapbox has stilts today lol

I doubt they'll confirm or deny it until a sequel or post-ending DLC comes out.

The speculation is good for them. If the last level was all literally real, IT speculation makes the writers look much better than they actually were, and gives them time to come up with a way to write themselves out of their corner.

Bioware have stated IT wasn't their intention. It's time for people to start realising Bioware really did write a pretentious, bad ending and move on. If this makes you sleep better, by all means, but this was never the intended way to take the ending, and having to write headcanon to make sense of it, just shows how garbage the original ending is.

If you can quote where that's been said that then I'll be fine with what you said.

Wasn't it on twitter or on Pax or something?  Do you really think with the massive ****storm about the ending, that if they had something better lined up they wouldn't pull it out instead of just adding some more cutscenes?

It's bad that you have so much faith in a money grabbing game company that you'd rather believe they have this really great ending they just decided not to put in than accept they let you down.

Idd rather see a full fledged Real Time Strategy game.

Something like Sins of a Solar Empire, but with elements of Starcraft 2 thrown in, like the story forcus and the ability to make choices in the campaign.

Could make for an interesting game if you ask me.

I also think that they could take this way to do a next game in the Mass Effect Universe.

unless that game has hubs and the ability for the main player character to walk around in them and talk to important characters, i would feel like an RTS would take out the personal aspect of the series and it's focus on character's and character development.

Also it would have to give to the option to play as a female character, otherwise it wouldn't be a BioWare game at all as far as I'm concerned.

Well, the personal aspect could have ended with ME3. And Bioware does RTS games now. Maybe this is why they decided to make C&C Generals 2 Free-to-Play Multyplayer Only. No SP Compaing - So they could actually make a Mass Effect set global RTS with Single Player Story Campaign. (And you d have an option to choose the sex of your commander character)

Well it should not be impossible to add a personal aspect to it, at least that is what Dragon Commander is kinda aiming for. To give a short sum up, Dragon Commander is a new game by Larian Studios. Essentially it is RPG, Strategy, 3-person flying game hybrid.

Ill spare you the details, but from what has been said the RPG part gcomes to play between missions as you can roam your main ship and talk to emmisaries, allies and the like to progress storylines and relations.

Could be an interesting bit for a Mass Effect Strategy game.

That might be interesting to see.  I don't normally like RTS games too much, since I suck at them, but if it was a combined RTS/RPG thing it might be interesting, especially if you can still have LIs and make choices that affect the qar and all that.

:wub::lol:

Oh and since we're talking about other genres, I support the ME RTS idea!
And maybe a real open world RPG with fully customizable character, like Skyrim
A krogan stealth assassin would be awesome B)

Oh look, more outright lies and misconceptions. Something as detailed and intricate as the clues supporting the Indoctrination Theory, that just happen to fit the game's themes like a glove, are in no way unintentional.

Huh. No, I haven't. I always leave music on and subtitles off to make it more cinematic, unless I'm trying to do something specific. Did you know in the Vancouver mission after you get lased by the reaper you fly back and land on the only object in the dreams: A BENCHPosted Image Because I thought that was really creepy. You know what else? The dream music starts playing there very quietly, so it's definitely on purpose.
