How does one "take the huskhead"?

When Vega is there, talk to him about it a few times, and he asks if anyone would notice if we took it. You can then take it.

Aaah cheers, I'm still on my first visit!

Hey, I quite liked leviathan. Here are my thoughts:

- Dream theory is arguably dead. Now, in game, you could make it work. Shep was forewarned of the AI and so in the final "dream" scene an expected unfolding of events is conjured for him. But the theory was always that the dream was going to be shattered by some later DLC/ sequel, where Shep finishes the fight. The meta-game interpretation, as it were, must now be that Bioware does intend to stick with this storyline. Or else it wouldn't be reinforcing the starbrat / reaper as tools narrative with DLC, only to go "psyke" at the end.

- Nevertheless, Leviathan is all about indoctrination, with those TIM/Anderson scene sounds featuring so heavily in the game. We can now be confident about "the sound of indoctrination" and that the scene with TIM and Anderson features indoctrination. Of course, that is a face-value interpretation of the scene- TIM, the game tells us, magically manages to indoctrinate and control others.

- The red poppy flowers, which feature so heavily in the citadel (and outside bryson's lab, which is so... thick with vegetation. Mmmm.) are studied by the thralls in the mining facility, and a strand of them is "very dangerous". Mmmm. Where's a speculation monocle when you need one.

- I'm beginning to think that Bioware is moving the franchise away from "techy and talky" to something a bit more mythical, a bit more star wars than star trek. The treatment of shepard as special and peculiar by Leviathan, for example, was a bit weird. There is definitely more coming from Bioware, and I don't know what exactly it will be.

I can't remember who has a theory about "indoctrination" as the enemy, and everyone else its tool; but I'm beginning to worry Bioware is going that way. Indoctrination = force, or the dark side of the force. Shepard a messianic person who will stand up to it.

- Plot holes:

1) Why the human reaper, if they're all in cthullu's image? Why those reapers in different shapes than harbinger's, in ME2?

2) Technological singularity still doesn't work. If Leviathan's ancestors had all others in their thrall, why let them develop AI? Why not simply forbid them... instead of constructing an AI yourself? It makes no sense.

3) If Leviathans can simply EMP the reapers, why is their being on our side just a numbered EMS? Why can't we drag them out and have them simply kill reapers, so we can win conventionally? Do they need an ocean to live in so they can't fly?

4) If we do win conventionally or destroy the reapers, don't we then have to start thinking about destroying the leviathans? After all, they may want to do a comeback if those they hide from are gone for good.

GUYS GUYS GUYS! The glowy orb shepard finds in ME1 ... it's one of the artifacts!

That means it might be so old that it was actually the leviathans we saw.

Has anyone considered that the Leviathan is in league with the reapers? He uses the same explanation as the catalyst.

What if the reapers have indoctrinated Levaithan?

Yeah, had to endure a bit first though. My own annoyance got the better of me briefly.

I think the only thing we can be 100% sure on is that Bioware sure does enjoy messing with us all. No answers for anyone, speculation for everyone!

Mind you, I always did think it would be interesting having another species being more powerful then the Reapers and that the Reapers are using organics as resources to amass an army to fight this other species. Though they'd have to be extra galactic or otherwise inactive in the galaxy.

I suppose the Leviathans fit that bill, in a manner of speaking.

True, the leviathan WOULD be better positioned to make himself look the fool by pretending he accidently created the reapers, HAHAHA, this is awesome.

So Leviathan is CONTROLLING the reapers (did you see him kill that reaper attacking the shuttle!?!?!) and wants to indoctrinate shepard so he can let them continue the cycle, for some other, sick reason we will never undersand.

Yep.

So now we know, the reapers real master is leviathan. Leviathan let shepard go because he SAW something hin shepards mind, and now wants the reapers to indoctrinate him fully.

Hey I was right about Leviathan being the one Indoctrinationating Shepard at the end. Also Refuse is the real ending now I guess.

Its the EC cycle all over again.

-Ambiguous content that does not outright confirm IT is added
-The trolls mount attack on IT claiming the entire theory is debunked
-Mass panic among theorist followed by coming to their senses and doing some hardcore, in depth analysis of  content.

Remember when many thought EC was the deathblow to IT only to realize it made the IT much stronger?

Leviathan - "There was no mistake. It (the intelligence) still serves its purpose." - very ambiguous attitude towards the thing that supposedly betrayed the Leviathans and ruined their empire. I think you guys might be on to something here!

Yeah, so Leviathans are the kingpins of the reapers, lets work from that premise! What do the leviathans want? Do you thinkt hey like their avatars, the reapers, controlling the galaxy - keeping the other organics in check and keeping the Leviathans the Apex of life?

I think the Leviathans want to remain the apex of organic existence, so they created reapers to keep everyone else down from ever evolving to their level. !

Okay, so how about TIM? Maybe he's not indoctrinated by the Reapers, but by Leviathan?

This solves the problem of Cerberus being attacked by Reapers. It also explains how TIM gets his mind control powers over Shepard. And if we assume Starbinger is actually Leviathan, its comments about controlling TIM fit very well.

It doesn't explain why Leviathan doesn't mention this to Shepard (or get TIM to call off attacks on Alliance forces). But then its hardly a trustworthy ally. Also doesn't explain why TIM becomes Reaperised, or why his troops are husks.

Still, food for thought.

Na I just see a supreme being not wanting to admit it was wrong. In a way he's right though. The catalyst was made to do just what they are doing. What they didn't expect was that Leviathan's race were included in that solution, like the catalyst said. They thought they were immune.

guys, the leviathans made the whole organics vs synthetics story up, so their reaper machines could keep all other organics from becoming the apex of organic life. The Leviathans want that title, so they use the reapers to keep everybody else down!
