Sigh. Twilight God, "dream" theory is as much speculation as yours. Bioware states it's a valid possibility, as I'm sure yours is. It's still an interpretation based on speculation, and if you state yours isn't then you're a pompous, arrogant ****. Lol

A possibility is not a solid theory.

It's possible that the entire trilogy takes place in someone's head and he never woke up after Eden Prime. The beginning parts before the beacon are a futher manifestation of the delusion. ME takes place in the mind of a person in the next cycle who is living out the memories of a past culture. They wake up and then informs everyone that the Reapers are coming. Shepard memories are the accounting of the reaper war.

I can list every graphical glitch, artistic choice and resued texture throughout the entire series as evidence that it's all a dream.

It is conceiveable? Yes. Possible? Yes, it's a video game.

Does that make it equal to IT-Con in terms of logic and reasoning? No.
Does that make it narratively consistent? No
Does it make it thematically consistent? No

Why? Becaus it's a handwave. It requires no proof of any kind as it handwaves away the entire universe. It's not so much a theory as it is a baseless claim.

I say my conclusion is based on logical deduction. You say it's pure conjecture. I challeneg you to demonstrate how it is conjecture. If you do not do this I can only surmise you cannot. If you cannot you are in no position to continue making the claim. It makes you a blowhard. All talk. It's easy to simply claim something is speculation. It's another thing altogether to demonstrate it's speculation. So, my take on people lilke you is "put up or shut up".

a) your idea is still speculation
B) Russell's Teapot. The burden of proof is on you not us
c) the arrogance in your posts is awe-inspiring. I can only imagine you go to bed each night telling yourself how brilliant you are. It is cringeworthy
d) thr dream theory is based on the themes of the games, you just refuse to see that because then you would prove your theory is just incredibly derivative of thr dre theory
e) YOUR THEORY IS STILL SPECULATOON AS ITS NOT BEEN PROVEN BY BIOWARE WHO MADE THE GAME
f) Omega was made by Reapers
g) It's a video game you didn't write and so do not know, so your arrogance is unfounded
h) your posts make me sad for people you live around, if any
i) are you lonely
j) it's a video game. If you care so much to call us idiots and to act like an omniscient **** then I feel bad for you, son. I've got ninety nine problems and if I'm honest ME3 isn't even in the too 98 lol

I meant plausibility and fit as measures of theories. That implies implausibility and lack of fit.

So yes, you're right, some theories are better than others and "lalalalalala" just won't do. My point simply was that since there's no absolute truth- not until something is canon, if it is- why get so agitated over it? Just make your points and drop the whole " I challenge thee" act. I say so with the utmost respect. I really like your posts, I don't want you to go away... but some of the regulars on here have grown quite inflexible with outsiders, and a sort of mob mentality takes over unless you temper your posts and simply make your points.

Respect is earned. Not given. Nor is it necessary. The challenge is made because tha talk is being talked. I'm only encouraging them to walk.

I'm not agitated. I'm stating what I believe and what I see. Just because I "call someone out on their BS" doesn't mean I'm mad at them. Take it as face value. If I am being BS'ed I have to address it. Otherwise the discussion goes nowhere, but in circles. I've been on the internet a long time and I know every ploy people use to delay the inevitable. Talking in circles and becoming hostiles is a tell sign that the person on the other end knows they are in the wrong, but theri pride will not allow them to admit it. They stop replying to arguments and start whinning about the presenter. They play the victim to give themselves a reason to attack the person who is exposing their errors. I've seen this inumerous times before.

They will either find their maturity and own up to their mistakes, cease responding altogether or start cursing, slinging insults, etc.

Dont accuse others of playing the victim when you're kind of doing the same thing.

I'd really rather they calmed themselves, but we don't always get what we want. A I have never played the victim. I have no reason to as I am confident in my veiws and don't have to make excuses to back out of losing situations.

I've been ignoring all of Twilight's posts but I did read this one, because I saw Byne's name. I think the reason people don't like you and have given up on arguing with you isn't because you're points are so great, it's because you can't argue your way out of a paper bag, you just ignore arguments that beat yours (like claiming not to playing the victim even though you clearly are) and then back up your ignorance by saying you're just that confident.

Basically. It's a bit like denial.

Bad vibe here, so I'm out. "Russell's teapot, burden of proof is on you" really doesn't cut the mustard. Hope you guys all calm down and hope someone looks into the poppy thing a bit more. Liked the gunboat diplomacy analogy, by the poster whose tag I don't recall. It's a totally new thing to come out of leviathan.

So does anyone find it odd that the Reapers know exactly where Leviathan is now, but don't act on it?

I think they either moved them, or they left in their own ship, as they would need one to get there. But where is it?

It is odd. It looked like they were not going anywhere.
But that could be a hint that reapers are independent one from another, and they don't share thoughts.
- they killed the reaper that found them, and other reapers don't have a clue.
This could possibly hint that control is bull****

Hey TJ! Nothing changed really. Leviathan raises many more questions than it answers, and although mentioning an "intelligence" doesn't confirm or deny IT. There are several hints at IT though. Like the resemblance of the Leviathan hallucination and the end. I'll just quote Rifneno:

Leviathan's indoctrination bears a lot of resemblance to the ending. Shepard blacks out and wakes up in a surreal environment on his knees as Levy appears as a person it pulled from Shepard's mind. They have a conversation full of stupidity and bad logic then Shepard wakes up in the real world with a gasp.
- Rifneno

I bolded that part to remind you that Shepard ends up in the same position at the catalyst chamber.

So I guess I was right about Leviathan my be the one Indoctrinating Shepard. Most of you thought I was crazy, but now you see what I was thinking.

It's a good theory mb, also proves the 'Shepard is immune to reaper indoc' arguments moot. You could be onto something :)

Control is definitely BS. Posted Image
2 things:
1. I think reapers don't share thoughts directly, but would constantly relay info like Geth. Maybe they do, and have QECs in each of them, I don't know. Data, data, data - I cannot make bricks without clay.
2. Did the levies actually kill that reaper? I mean either they didn't, and only disabled it, or they can assume control of reapers. If the latter is true, we automatically win, and they also wouldn't have needed to fight them. So I'm going with they disabled it, not killed it.

Yeah I really wish the extent of their power would have been explained. They're either useless giant crabs hiding in the ocean, or all powerful beings, way too much speculation in between there. This is bad storytelling.

Does anyone think the Leviathan was orignially going to be an actual rogue reaper? That would have made way more sense with the DLC. And it would have been infinitely cooler/more interesting! Ahhh!!!
