Waited cuz after I heard about it on here I didn't really care about it. Instead I started a new game so I could have something to play while waiting for Leviathan to come out. I just prefered to see the EC with the Leviathan DLC, not that it was worth it really...byne wrote...

Why'd you wait until now?
Also, what'd you think?

I think in the end, both races are seeking a solution to something that will help them and only them. We're caught in the middle of a battle of gods. (thus my comment earlier of Shepard Saga/Trilogy turning from that, into something more like the 'Shepard Mythos')

So does anyone feel like they're missing
a whole bunch of the story? How were the Leviathans defeated? Why don't
the Leviathans show up in the final battle? How does nobody know
anything about the Crucible? The Leviathan dlc actually gave us no new
information whatsoever on the creation of the Reapers. All it did was
give the creators a face, and confirm once and for all that Harbinger is
the first Reaper.
However, the game is still teasing a big role
for Harbinger without actually delivering it, and Bioware has still
refused to let us see any of our war assets in London. It almost felt
like they were taking a shot at people who want to see their war assets.
"The Leviathans are a part of this war now!" Well where the hell are
they, they could have helped at a lot of times.

Hey guys, my youtube vid will come out tomorrow, hopefully. And it will be about 53 minutes long. I hope you will enjoy watching it as much as I had fun making it.

It's worth doing. I plan on doing something too. I've got a couple of ideas, but I need to get around to beating a playthrough on my PC and record it. (I play on xbox but there was a sale I couldn't refuse so I bought it on PC too to experiment/record).magnetite wrote...

I've put up a few videos, but most of the comments are usually "IT isn't true" or other "ending hater" comments. Glad, I put comments on "Approve first". Not sure how people deal with that. I mean I made a video about EDI and the Destroy ending, and I got swamped with a lot of "anti-IT comments".
Kind of wonder whether it's worth doing or not. I mean if all I'm going to get is a bunch of flak about stuff.

I think Leviathan was pretty good. It really should have had a bigger impact on the rest of the game though. I mean, we have things that can kill Reapers fairly easily, and can force Reaper troops to fight for us, and yet that doesnt really change the war in any way? Seems kind of cheap.

This is the kind of loose thinking I mentioned, guys. Above me right there.
Edit- Page turn fail. Well, let the dice fall where they may. I'm cool with looking like an imbecile.
NOW THEM POPPIES KIDS. GET TO IT.
PS-- the poppies in the wards are all over. But, the ones nearest the top, between Barla Von and the corridor into the rest of the wards, uniquely are accompanied by dust. In the sun glare, dust is visible. I'm calling it dust. Not spores. No sirree bob, because I checked downstairs and saw no such dust/spores anywhere. Don't get excited now.
And someone else said that they were also in Udina's office. So, really, nearly every place on the Citadel that has plants also has the poppies. I'm going to go ahead and assume they're similar enough to Opium Poppies to make a connection.
Short version: Opium is an extremely addictive, psychoactive drug that causes, among other things, relaxation, a decrease of pain/anxiety, and decreased alertness. It has been used many times in history, including for medicinal purposes,, but most notably in China, where the British smuggled it in and sold it for a long time, causing many people to get addicted. When the Chinese tried to stop it, the British declared war and easily defeated China due to both China's low technology level and the fact that the Chinese had been greatly weakened by opium use.
What do you guys think? A drug that decreases alertness, causes relaxtion, led to the temporary fall of a country that used to dominate its part of the world, and just so happens to look like a plant common on the Citadel that Bioware seemed to try and point out in Leviathan. A hint at something or am I just grasping at straws?

Still six pages behind but.. has nobody pointed out that that is the poppy everyone wears around Armistice Day? It's a huge symbol of rememberance for fallen soldiers.
And no Leviathan analyses from Otter, TSA, Simon, or Arian yet? Come on you guys.

Time to prompt my betters to do some speculating/ investigating/ picturing/ youtubing.
Subject: The red poppy that features in Leviathan.
Motive:
This poppy is everywhere on the citadel. I think it appears elsewhere
too, i think. It features everywhere in Dr Bryson's lab's balcony.
Support:
It looks a bit like the scarren flower in Farscape. We know how far the
sci fi influence net is cast in Mass Effect's case.
Relevance of
Leviathan: When chasing Garneaux, you enter the research lab or
something. This is where you pick up lots of conversations/ datapads.
One of these datapads is next to a bunch of these red flowers. It says
something like "though common, this strand is extremely dangerous". With
the recap of indoctrination-creatures including the thorian and its
"spores", as well as emphasis on the organic nature of the Leviathan's
indoctrination means, I say this warrans some monocle popping
speculation.
Banshee get going man. This speculating stuff's not for thirty year olds.
Finally, found a vid that does some semi-thorough investigating.
At 07:12.
Datapad says:
"NOTE TO STAFF:
This new crossbreed appears harmless and would be inconspicuous in an
office environment. However, it is exceedingly dangerous. Use extreme
caution when working with all third-generation plants."
This
guy's shep is jittery as ****, but anyway, you can see the plant is in
Dr Bryson's office, inside at 00.16 and outside at 4:14
Pretty
sure these flowers are also in Councillor Udina's office... and many
places besides. Wondered about them before- but only because I'm such a
Farscape fan.
Just to confirm, the flowers are in udina's office, and elsewhere on the embassies ward.

Lets say that after the reapers are defeated. What will the Leviathans do?, Stay in solitude (I doubt it), Move to a differant part of the galaxy?. Or now that the reapers are gone they will attempt to become the dominant power in the galaxy once again?.

So I went through London again with Leviathan DLC finished, I like the new Catalyst lines and am glad they thought to add those based whether or not you have the DLC. IT still holds after it all, at least the versions I know, so here's to more waiting. Not that I'm complaining, doubt we'll get answers any time soon either way. All in all, great DLC.
Fun facts:
1. If you get hit by the Reaper Destroyers beam while defending the Missile Battery, you Die. Semi-proof that a Reaper beam can Kill you in London, leads me to further believe Harbinger grazed you just enough for a reason.
2. If you play Two Steps from Hell: Protectors of the Earth on repeat at about half volume while going through the London mission, it becomes roughly ten times as epic. I almost had to stop myself from jumping out of my chair as a result of the excess epicosity.

Hm, a thought occurs:
Now that there are Leviathan artifacts spread throughout the galaxy and the Alliance is so bold to use them, does it mean that there is now a legit reason to bring in a playable Reaper faction into MP?
