Indoctriception.
But in reality they might as well be from our stand point. They have their own agenda that seems worse than the reapers.

Maybe this was already linked, but it looks like something involving the Citadel might be in for future DLC:

i got interrupted by a phone call right after I clicked the link and when I returned to my screen I'd forgotten I'd I clicked it. I was like who the hell are these people?

That's not true. They cared for the thrall species.

No. I'd argue that the species had great freedom if they were able to create machines (meaning their development was mostly unconstrained).

But it still goes against everything you've been fighting for in me. Freedome. Even if you're cage is big, it's still a cage.

There's always a cage.

One thing doesn't add up. If the Leviathans are an aquatic species, how can one be shown flying above the savages?

they are no aquatic.

They don't care about the water.

They could hide in an ocean of lequid sulfur, if they wanted.

It tells me that the initial home of the leviathans would be inside of a star (reaper technology suggests it. (derelict reaper is perfectly fine, almost faalen on the surface of a star) - and they feed on it until it turnes into a black hole (dark matter related in real life by the way)  - so it would be the first place for reapers to look for them. what is the opposite of inside of the star? At the bottom of an ocean - that is exaclty like the place leviathan hides.

And remeber - collector base was in the centre of the galaxy (which is a giant black hole in real life, if you don't know, which has attracted millins of stars by it's gravity pull)  - only one reaper is born each cycle. The first reaper was harbinger, and it was made out of the leviathans - it is safe to assume that the place where the collector base was, was in fact true home of leviathans. And that means that Omega is VERY important as it is a door to the leviathans true home.

Leviathans feed on stars. That is exacly what happened to heastrom sun, as soon as the reapers were temporaly out of the pictur, unable to return through citadel. Leviathans found out about because of the sovereign's attack on the citadel - (why would he attack it if he controls it?? He doesn control it? YAY!!! Lets feast!!!)

THIS

IS

AMAZING

WOW

It also can explain the initial 'prothian' beacon vision, at least partially.

They are aquatic according to in-game texts (Codex or elsewhere, I don't remember).

Codex both matters and doesn't matter. It's based on currently given knowledge.

I agree. The Codex changes as the events progress. At least some of its entries do.

Guys, I just realised something. Why on earth Leviathans didn't destroy the probe Shepard shot at the sea? It was right next to them. They couldn't simply see it, of course, but thats highly doubtful, since as we saw they can 'sense' any ship approaching way from above and even attack it.

They say they didn't want to be found, and yet it seems they deliberately wanted Shepard down there. I say that's another reason not to trust them.

Hmm...that is a really interesting point. Why wouldn't their deactivation pulse have affected the probe?

Wouldn't shooting down the probe automatically cause investigation? Maybe they were waiting to see what the probes purpose and whether t can succeed if it relates to them? Then when Normandy tries to follow up *pew* pew*

LOL. I must have been really sleepy when playing it cause I thought the probe was launched back when the MSV Monarch crashed.

Just checked - there are NO red poppies on the citadel - not in the ambassies, not in the presidium commons, not in the hospital, not in the docking bay, not in the refugy camp, and not in a purgatory bar.

There are some red flowers, but they are not poppies - they are more orchid-like.

There are birds sitting on a canopy in Presidium Commons. Both were added with Leviathan DLC.

One of the things that the Leviathans have the asteroid scientists researching is red poppies.

Now, there are 3 advertisments posters for the purgatory club. (the one with oily shadows all over it) - and they are all different colours. The colours are: RED, BLUE, and PURPLE.
The red one is in the presidium commons.
The blue one is outside the purgatory club
And the purple one is inside the purgatory club, just above the floating dancefloor. And right next to it is the poster with Jack's face.

Now, i have a theory, which could explain why there are oily shadows all over the poster.

The thing is that those posters are most likely designed by Aria, since it is her club, and she's that kind of person, who would want to do such thing herself. And she could also just have given directions about what it should look like. This suggest that she's also having dreams that involve those oily shadows - and given her time around reapers in the comics this isn't a surprise.
Now, i'm not saying that she is indoctrinated. But she has certainly seen those type of oily shodows, and it seems natural to her that this tipe of thing goes weel together with the concept of purgatory. - She can't stand the citadel and this club is her statement about that - this suggests that she's tortured by images with oily shadows all over them - most likely in her dreams.

Anyone else thought Leviathan was starting to sound more and more like Jigsaw the more he talked?
Epic voice, but when it goes on to full sentences, i swear he's going to say:
"Hello Shepard... I want to play a game..."
