Its been discussed before. You wouldn't be able to use a relay like that because all they do is connect to another relay somewhere else in the galaxy. You also cant use FTL as a kamikazi weapon because all FTL technology have safety measures that prevent ships from crashing into things at FTL speeds.

Aralakh company was like maybe 20 krogan.
You sacrifice 20 krogan to save an entire species. Thats not a bad trade.
Though, when I thought Grunt died, I was ready to reload and let the rachni die.

It was Mac Walters. And I doubt we'll see much more with the Rachni. Perhaps in the next title.GethPrimeMKII wrote...
I guess whoever said that forgot to include the words DLC in the statement.

You would think this. Yet judging by numerical war assets and cut scenes in the final battle, the choice doesn't seem to matter one way or the other.byne wrote...

An entire race isn't worth a handful of Krogan, at least if you choose to save them in ME1. they can reform Arlakh Company, I mean Liara's terminal has Grunt addressing the new Arlakh Company recruits right after you do that mission.
Didn't take long...

I don’t know, the Rachni are supposedly pretty important and considering the Rachni queens message in ME2 I don’t think we’ve seen the last of her. If we have then Bioware have wasted a huge opportunity, then again that could be said about a great many things in ME3.

Either it's a bad written plot, or we're still missing something.

I don't think we're close to seeing everything Bioware has up their sleeves. I predict ME3's single player campaign being roughly twice its original size by the time theyre done rolling out DLC. I think post ending DLC is highly likely in the distant future only because the speculation, while doing its job to keep player interest up, has to end at some point.

I agree. Something has to be added soon either at the end of 2012 or very beginning of 2013 that adds satisfaction. Not speculation but a feeling inside that the dlc and the game without a doubt was worth it.GethPrimeMKII wrote...

Poorly written yet brilliant enough to trick players into supporting the reapers and defending their choice to the death on forums.

Shepard: Why did you create the Reapers?
Leviathan: We saw that synthetic and organic relationships always ended in conflict. Therefore, the only solution was to create a synthetic. Then it betrayed us and for all our power we were helpless against the cavemen it controlled.
Shepard: What about the crucible?
Leviathan: End result is unknown.
Shepard: The Leviathans are a part of this war now!
Catalyst: Good, I welcome their involvement.
End of Leviathan

Leviathan didn’t blow my mind but it was definitely better than ME2‘s DLC and it set the bar pretty high for future ME3 DLC. Hope the ME team don’t disappoint.
One thing I find weird though is that they’re still adding war assets to the game. Everyone should be able to get the necessary EMS for the best versions of the endings/space magic easily now without having to use MP. Loads of people have even said that you need to purposefully set out to get low EMS endings now and carefully plan what missions you do, what squad mates you keep alive, what decisions you make etc. I mean I know it’s logical, you’d expect to gain more stuff through DLC, but given what some of the new war assets are I just find it odd.
Makes me hopeful that maybe a conventional victory is on the cards, maybe once we have all DLC.
