1point for you, but change the fact that it's a Theory. Good luck with your mission, I'll stick to miene.

And your mission would be?

Mine is the fact of being a man understanding that not everything falls to your favor.

That doesn't make the point you want it to.

If you are curious about IT, then maybe not starting off with a typical derivitive of omg you still believe it lulz would be a good idea

To be honest, you guys don't have solid proof either.

Not proof. Evidence. Big difference. If we had proof, there would be no dicussion!

Okay, change Proof to Evidence, you realize that's a synonym?

Your point has no validation, it's just a /bump.

proof is definitive
evidence is suggestive
point was valid
agree with the rest though

1 point for you, but change the fact that it's a Theory. Good luck with your mission, I'll stick to mine.

We don't really have a mission. We just dicsuss IT with others who are open to it. We don't preach or anything. Not like you're pretty much doing...Posted Image
Also, "But IT is just a theory!"
"Well, so is gravity and I don't see you jumping out of buildings."

The fact that your commenting is considered preaching your ideals. You my friend, have outdone yourself.

Yes curious, but not extremist when it comes to it. Starting off with a typical derivitive really fires stuff up don't you think? I mean this topic is getting hotter with anger than me just asking questions.

IIT supporters are under the assumption that Bioware/Ea wants money, yet if they really were that desperate form money, they would have charged the extended cut dlc, knowing at that time that people were desperate for anything to fix/change the endings to mass effect 3. People would ahve complained, but still bought it as people complain about food at a restaurant and still eat there, or complain about a thrift store's "overpricing and dominance in the market" and still shop there. Consumers are just hypocrites like that.

Would you make a "false" ending, then expand on that "false" ending to prepare for the "real" ending?

At this point, currently believeing that the writers "secretly intended the IT to be correct" after the release of the EC DLC is exactly equal to believing that the thing in the box at the end of 'Seven ' was a ham sandwich, or that Obi Wan Kenobi was meant to be Luke Skywalker come back from the future to guide himself.

You can believe anything you want if that's how you derive entertainment, and there's nothing wrong with it. But if there can be a "truth" about the structure of a fictional work it is that that which the author intended is the actuality. ME's writers do not intend IT to be the valid end.

And even if a new ending was made, the indoctrination theory is not needed as a "transition" for that new ending. That's just a waste of time, it would be more smoothly done if it was just a new ending.

So quit wasting time speculating to no productive end and help the community by supporting a plea to change the endings, or get answers at least.

Spoony comments on Mass Effect 3 ending

May have been posted before on the site, but this guy basically talks about the ending, as well as a bunch of other things. In short, he had the idea of indoctrination as he was playing the game because he can analytically think about things. I'm kind of the same way.

The Mass Effect 3 segment of the video is an hour long, with the whole video being 97 minutes.

ME's writers do not intend IT to be the valid end.

So?
Aren't people entitled to their own opinions about what happened? To
only accept Bioware's writing as truth, is actually an example of real
world indoctrination (eg. cultists, extremist groups, etc).

So quit wasting time speculating to no
productive end and help the community by supporting a plea to change the
endings, or get answers at least.

The Extended Cut DLC was created from constructive feedback from the fans. Perhaps this ending that some fans want basically throws all Bioware's ideas out the window and is instead only what the fans want. It's been said before, they can't please everyone.

Some people have actually written their own ending instead of having Bioware do it.

Then we're just preaching to the choir-this being the IT thread and what not. Who walks into a church and tells the pastor to stop preaching the gospel? That's genius stuff there buddy

Anyways, church is a poor metaphor since we are only speculating.

I am, however, genuinely sorry that indoctrination theory is ruining your life so much. I can't stop because of some collateral damage though. You'll just have to try and rebuild from the destructive force that is IT, sorry in advance

Yep.  A lot of people figured it out on their own mid-game.  Those dreams are less than subtle.  Remember that time Bioware had the protagonist in a game have dreams that didn't have some big dark meaning?  Me neither.  When I first found IT, I was actually ashamed of myself for not having figured things out during my first playthrough.  The ending is too surreal not to be on purpose.

Preaching doesn't have to involve a Bible, it involved one feeding someone an idea of theirs to get them thinking or understanding on their field. Commenting is defending yourself, you preach your belief in what you fight for.

So I have a question. They were able to block Leviathan from taking over Anna by using some kind of shield, and they also said (I think) that Sovereign was shielded as to block off indoctrination. Is this even possible? I didn't know that the reapers could be blocked like that. i mean it happened, so I guess it is, I just thought indoctrination was something that couldn't really be prevented like that.

Church is a great metaphor because God is a speculation, there is no proof that he even exists and there is no proof that he can't exist. The Bible is stories written by a bunch of people over periods of time, and Evolution is a Theory but has evidence and proof.

As for collateral damage, that's far behind, I look forward into new ideas than recycling one that brings back pains of the original ME3 endings. Both IT and the EC are destructive forces that damage eachother, I'd say sorry in advance if IT was a shame, and I would apologize if it wasn't.

A sane person wouldn't trap themselves in the past, they move on and make do with whatever happens.

I think Bioware thought more people would "get it". I mean why wouldn't they? Oh, right: because of all the people who probably just picked up ME3 to shoot things and didn't bother even playing the other 2. Remember that time anyone had the protagonist in anything have dreams that didn't have some deep meaning? Me neither. And to add to that: A lot of people figured out the kid wasn't real when the demo was released. Some as early as June 2011! IT is that obvious. If everyone figured out the kid wasn't real last year, I bet BW thought people would understand that the endings were too odd to be taken literally.

After going through Levi DLC again, the Leviathan does confirm the existence of an intelligence (catalyst), which is just how the Catalyst explains himself. But just because it is confirmed I don't think it disproves the IT theory.

What I thought was interesting was Levi's obvious hesitation to talk about the crucible, he definately knew more and thought carefully how to answer that question.

An excellent point.  The forum was abuzz with "WTF?  That kid's not even real, what the hell's going on here?" after seeing only Vancouver.  They made a major mistake.  Never underestimate the stupidity of people in large groups.

Well, reaper indoctrination is achieved in large part due to infrasound/ultrasound. So yes, you should be able to shield yourself from it somewhat.

Yeah, I would have to say that preaching is defending. In a Churchy sense, the only reason they still exist is because they defend their beliefs by preaching it. Republicans and Democrats preach their ways to defend it from falling into history. Laws preach to us to defend what they stand for, actions preach to us because they defend a concept like "I'll go to jail if I shoot someone", that is defended, and it preaches it to tell us otherwise.

How hard is that to believe that preaching isn't only a religious issue?

Another hint I noticed that I don't think I've seen anyone mention: at the end of Leviathan when Shepard gets out of the Atlas Triton repainted Atlas and the brute almost kills him before Leviathan ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROLs it. The message is "if you don't wake up at the end after destroy, it's because you didn't have enough support and ground forces killed you before you could regain consciousness."

Someone posted earlier Leviathan DLC changed the first dream sequence? Can anyone confirm this and give info to what was changed?
