Hey all, just started Leviathan (University intro trip kept me away for a few days) and a few things I have found interesting so far:

The "direct control" Leviathan excerts seems to not have a subtle element like Indoctrination from what i have seen making it less...versatile...but you are allready discussing that from what i see.

But what idd like to point to is someone mentioning that Leviathan might have caused the Rachni Wars based upon Brynns theory. Well Idd say no because as seen on the map the key areas of the Rachni War ressearch dont match up with the other bits in the hunt for Leviathan.

But an interesting point was still brought up...the theory that Leviathan would control the Rachni against the Reapers. Remove Leviathan from the equation and it matches up well with my own theory that Sovereign drove the Rachni to war to eliminate a potential danger to the Reapers.

I also read an interesting bit concerning the Salarians and Indoctrination and could be interesting if indeed the Salarians had had methodical control throughout time due to Indoctrination with events like the Krogan Uplifting and Genophage beeing manipulated events. But just an idea.

Finally I find it interesting how Brynn hammers home that any weapon capable of killing a Reaper is worth investiagting...because we know of one more Reaper killing weapon. The gun which took out the Derelict Reaper and which Cerbeus reportedly found the remains of. Possible plot bit for Omega dlc?

Except it's the oppostite. Leviathans assume control of a victim and control their mind. TIM controlled Shep and Andy's bodies, not their minds. I still think that's just some BS to show it's not actually happening.

What's interesting is that he controlled their bodies, but not their mouths.  I can't recall any indoctrination working like that, ever.  Benezia explains, and then through Paul Grayson we see directly, that full on indoctrination where the Reapers control the victim's body also controls their mouths.  The consciousness of the victim is trapped in their own mind but unable to do anything beyond watch what the Reapers do with them.  There's no waltzing around zombie-like while screaming "get away from me, I'm indoctrinated!"  It doesn't work like that.

Maybe. I also think if the crucible works it's kind of a waste of time for Shepard to find Leviathan.

We have a reaper-off-button, but let's, instead of finishing it, go looking for a things that may have killed one reaper.

Seem legit.

And you would think that in order to control their bodies, he would have to control their minds, because that controls the body.

Leviathan... EVERYTHING in the dlc was about indoctrination...

I've still not replayed London after doing it yet, as I played through leviathan immediately after cerberus took the citadel. Surely there's scope for this DLC to affect London in a big way... Surely?

Everytime I think of the Derelict Reaper, I can't help but remember the scene in Final Fantasy VII where the mako cannon spears through Diamond Weapon.

TIMs implants letting him control bodies was mysteriously out of the blue for something that totally really happened, honest guys. Pity all the other reaper agents forgot to use it at really helpful moments throughout the series.

This may shock and amaze you but I have never played FFVII. Or even watched it played. I feel bad now.

Good to see you TSA. Sorry to say it doesn't do much at all for the endings. So little in fact that I'm convinced (again) it couldn't have happened in real life. And how did you go to the citadel after it disappears?Posted Image

Hmm. Does Jartar have water? It doesn't look like it from the wiki description... if it doesn't have water, then can we rule out the notion that Leviathans are restricted to water? If one killed a capital ship there, then...

I'm not sure, but how did they kill it anyway?
Edit: I think we can aussume they are not restricted to water because of the drawings of them.

Hmm....too little info to make a call on that. Regarding making the Catalyst...since they lack appendages like fingers I can assume they controlled others to make the AI. Now think about it. Organics have been proven to make synthetics/AI's that kill the creators...Leviathans do what kills other organics...smart is not the word I would use....

PS. HI GUYS!!! :o Tried to look through 100 pages...went through about 25-50 then said screw it. Could anyone give me a quick version of all the new ideas, findings and explainations?!?!?

I counted on a great battle in the air between Leviathans and Reapers. But since they are aquatic I thought maybe, just maybe, there would be something equally spectacular by the beam. Well, there was nothing. Posted Image In fact I was so disappointed with the lack of anything new by the beam that I didn't even want to play the Catalyst's game anymore and just shoot him. No I don't think so. I recently read some article about how Leviathan comes into the space battle and kills some reapers but I think it is BS. Really the only proven add on to the thing is new discussion peices with the Catalyst which aren't that "mind blowing". Sorta disappointed really. :crying:

Shepard: So because AI's kept killing entire races, you made an AI to solve the problem?
Leviathan: You cannot conceive of a galaxy that bends to your will. Every creature, every nation, every planet we discovered became our tools. We were above the concerns of lesser species. The intelligence was envisioned as simply another tool.
Shepard: I've got limited oxygen in this thing.  Just say "hubris" and get it over with.
Leviathan: :(

Not to mention they used other organics which they know end up making killer AI's that turn on them. The saying "If others can't do it right, so you do it yourself" should apply here. However...it doesn't and the Levs choice turn on them. Ironic. Billions are killed cause the first organics didn't have thumbs (or even fingers at that) .... now I just laugh when Leviathan says "We were the apex race."
