And I encourage you to read my posts in entirety as this is a discussion fourm. Read my post to dwailing about fan theories, I'm not going to copy and paste now, and read my other posts before you jump and say "chris priestly said so" when it's clearly a way to quell people like yourself from raging about the IT being wrong and leaving Bioware as the "loyal customers" you are.

My good sir, if IT was proven to be false, I wouldnt rage. I dont think the majority of the people in this thread would either.

The pro-IT zealots, who would be the most likely to rage, dont actually seem to hang out in here, strangely enough, so if you're trying to speak to them, you're in the wrong place.

I also dont think the majority of us would stop purchasing BioWare products either, as we enjoyed the majority of ME3, and just dont like the endings.

You can either stop painting us as whiny little children who need placating from BioWare lest we turn into a horde of raging animals, and acknowledge that we are just regular people who happen to disagree with your interpreation of a video game ending, or you can get the **** out.

Now good day, sir.

You are a "pro-IT zealot". You created this thread and you're "waiting" until IT is proven false when the ec dlc already does that. And I never said for you to stop buying Bioware products, where did I say that?

Your inadequacy to read my posts shows you can't defend yourself in a constructive argument, so telling me to leave because you're not prepared to use logic to counter my arguements makes no sense. If you're going to create a public thread, and tell people who disagree with you to leave, why bother making the thread in the first place? This is a discussion forum, expect people to disagree with the IT. Unless you know that the IT is wrong and you created this thread to shell people like yourself from the truth to the point where people would believe in any poor speculation (ex harbinger says "one of us") and use emoticons/in game quotes to give themselves some sort of morality: that they are right and everyone who doesn't believe in the IT is too blind. Yet, no one in this thread can argue as to why it's impossible for the IT to be implemented to the series at this point like I explained in my earlier post.

OK, if I wasn't done being nice before, I am now.  BIOWARE HAS SAID THAT THE EC DOESN'T CONFIRM OR DENY IT!!!!  THEY HAVE SAID THAT MANY TIMES!!!!  HOW LONG CAN YOU DENY THE TRUTH????!!!!  THEY HAVEN'T CONFIRMED OR DENIED IT YET!!!!  ALSO, I KNOW I HAVEN'T SAID THAT PEOPLE WHO DON'T BELIEVE IT ARE BLIND, BUT I WILL SAY THAT YOU ARE BLIND, HOWEVER, BECAUSE YOU KEEP IGNORING EVERY SINGLE THING WE TELL YOU, NOT BECAUSE YOU DISAGREE WITH IT!!!!

Did you even read my post about fan theories? How am I "blind" when I write constructive arguemnts and no one fully reads them because they don't want to use logic in their arguemnts. Your message being in all caps shows how little of capacity IT supporters like yourself have to write constructive arguments before blindly raging on few statements and furiously followiing those statements to no end. I answered everything you wrote in previous posts, why don't you read the post I mentioned harry potter and then come back with a constructive post that makes sense?

I saw your post about the Harry Potter fan theory, and the thing that I think you're missing here is that BioWare didn't deny IT in the EC.  The Harry Potter fan theory that you mentioned has been well and truly disproved by the release of book seven.  The IT, however, has not been disproved until BioWare says that it has been disproved, because they have said repeatedly that the EC did not disprove the IT.  Now, I apologize for exploding earlier.  I sometimes get VERY fed up with some of you Literalists, even though I acknowledge that I should use a more logical argument.  How about this?  As a student of logic, I'll present what I KNOW to be a valid argument in logical form.  Will that logical enough for you?

If BioWare had said that the IT would be disproved by the EC, then the IT would have been disproved by the EC.

BioWare did not say that the IT is disproved by the EC.

Therefore, the IT is not disproved by the EC.

I could say the same thing about harry potter and jk rowling. Is neville really the chosen one?

OK, the 7th Harry Potter book made it clear that Harry was going to be the one to kill Voldemort.  The thing is, it didn't have any clues that Neville could still be the chosen one.  The ME3 ending, on the other hand, still has many, many clues that IT is a valid possibility for what's going on.  The EC didn't change that.  The BioWare devs have said explicitly that the EC hasn't changed that.  What you seem to be missing is that, no matter how much you want the BioWare devs to have said that the IT is denied by the EC, they have said point blank that the IT is not.  And no matter how much you want to think that you speak for the BioWare devs, you do not.  Meaning that anything you say falls under the perview of opinion.  Just like everything we say.  We acknowledge that everything we say may not be more than speculation, but we enjoy what we do.  And until BioWare says otherwise, you're not going to convince us that we're wrong.  Because you don't speak for the devs.  And the devs have been encouraging our speculations.  So, quite frankly, you're not going to convince us, no matter what you say, because we have the support of the devs while you have nothing more than your own opinion.

It took three games just to be able to have to take out the game cover and flip it around so Femshep exists on it...

Took three games just for Meer's acting to become somewhat tolerable too.

Ohsnap.

BroShep is canon.

Nope. NoShep is canon.

The movie and pre-ME3 marketing materials disprove your assertion.

I like how one guy put it in a YouTube comment.  Jennifer Hale has a wider range of emotion than Mark Meer, but Mark Meer's voice acting is more natural.

I blame Star Trek and particularly Star Wars for this dependence on canon. People believe because everything produced in the Star Wars universe is decreed to have some level of connection to the main canon, that every single fictional universe will work under the same rules.

Well, no. Take characters like Spider-Man, for instance. The Spider-Man in the latest movie is not the Spider-Man in the Marvel comic who is not the Spider-Man in the Ultimate Marvel comic who is not the Spider-Man in the newspapers.

So, yes, there can be a Mass Effect movie with a male Shepard and there will still be no canon gender Shepard because the movie is only one interpretation of the story. It does not trump the video game's canon somehow. Why should it?

While the above is true, I was a Halo fan long before I was a Mass Effect fan, it was the first universe I really got into, etc, and in there are no alternate Halo universes, unlike the Spider-Man examples above. The games, novels, comics, movies, etc are all equally part of the universe and of the same level of canon.

So, I see ME the same way, the only exception is choices are (mostly) non-canon. For example, in one of the novels Anderson was made councillor, so I consider that canon, as well as Arrival happening because it was in one of the comics. However, if they make a whole movie about the actual main plot then I'd just consider it the Director/Writer's personal playthrough, no more or less canon than mine or yours.

What about the fact that Reach kind of contradicts parts of the novels?

(Also, as a sidenote, I consider RvB to be part of the Halo canon. I wish Bungie, or 343, or whoever is in charge of Halo now would just make it official already.)
