Yeah, 4leaf studios did get some bad publicity by japanese media for "Katawa." Apparently, it's an insulting way of saying cripple.

So it's not only me then. Good to know. I was starting to think my nightmares might end up making me slightly insane, but it's good to know I haven't passed that line...yet.

Yeah, it's just like the German "Krueppel". You just don't use that word when talking about disabilities.

If i do try and hang out with him ,is that a bad idea for 1st playthrough?

Considering it means you dont pursue a girl and therefore dont get to play the majority of the game, it's kind of a bad idea, yeah.

The protagonist, Hisao, ends up getting drunk with Keiji on the roof of the school. He falls down the roof and dies. Game over, do not pass go, do not collect 200€

Exactly. You use "Körperlich/physisch behindert", for example.

What if i play to the end of chap1 like that and then start over? I don't know which girls to romance, i don't understand which are attractive

Just choose one. Yu almost can't go wrong in your pursuit.
Though, if you'd like my recommendation, go with Emi. She's a good way to start off. Later on, after you finished your first playthrough, just decide for yourself.
