OK, I hope my IT team is ready for action this weekend. That squad goal looks pretty tough.

Only if you do difficulty >= silver and have a squad that you don't trust.

But other than that, not being allowed to use medi-gel makes for a nice retro feeling.

Hey guys. What's up?

Nothing much.  Last thing people were, err, debating about was whether you can have IT being true without there ever being anymore content to explain what happens after the breath scene.

And this is difficult to say in itself based on what form of IT you support.  Supporters of Twilight's IT con theory wouldn't really require anything additional afterwards to say that they won.  Anything that comes after the breath scene is simply personal closure for them.

IT dream supporters who view everything post-Harbinger beam would likely require some DLC to explain exactly how they won the war.

I'm in the middle of these two viewpoints and my dlc stance reflects that: if no post breath scene dlc is done I will not be pleased but I will still be able to move on with a slight limp as I have a complete ending in mind for my Shepard

I don't think I'd be able to complete that squad goal in MP. Good thing I don't give a sh*t about multiplayer anymore, I guess.

The allied goal is awfully high. The last time we had a goal requiring x number of a specific objective was back in early June (100,000 retrieval objectives for Operation Mastiff). Well over twice as many escort objectives required this weekend when surely much less people are playing? Could be setting up for an intentional fail, if you buy into that sort of thing. It does seem like we fail every 4th operation. Perhaps this will lead up to the inevitable next MP DLC.

Kroguard, bronze, solo is guaranteed if you're concerned about teammates accidentally using consumables. This will be the first Operation where we won't really know if we've completed the squad goal until afterwards if we play with teammates. We just have to take their word for it. That said, I'm definitely doing a solo run as insurance.

one way to do it is to play like i do - run out of consumables and don't buy any packs after. you get used to it.

I am sorry for asking this again, but I cannot see my original posts. Anyways,......
I am not sure what I believe, but I still have not found anyone who has offered a good answer for the following.

1)Why does the Star Child/Intelligence use "fire" as the metaphor to describe the conflict of the Reapers.? All of Shepard's dreams end with the boy being consume by fire, and the last dream both him and the boy are consumed by fire. If you are trying to kill the IT theory, wouldn't you use a tornado, hurricane, or meteor shower to describe the conflict.
****Leviathan Spoiler***
2)Shepard did not realize he was not in a place where didn't have to worry about breathing. He didn't even realize that he was controlled into Anne started talking. Watch the scene. He asks, "Anne, what is going on here? He doesn't state Leviathan what is going on here?"
3)When Leviathan states he is going to look at Shepard's mind, he uses a device that Shepard can comprehend. The parts in the Citadel are also simplistic in designed. You mean that the ability to control the Reapers comes down to some cathode like energy tubes, and the ability to destroy Reapers is done by shooting a transformer.
4)Throughout Mass Effect 3, they are stating how the deeds of Shepard rally the troops, but when Shepard makes it to the beam. Admiral Hackett never states his or her name. He says somebody made it to the beam, not two people made it to the beam.
5)How does anyone know that Crucible needs to be joined to the Citadel to effect the Reapers?
6)An AI thief in Mass Effect 1 that lived in the Citadel stated I am not stupid, I know how humans think. They must either control or destroy synthetics. Reapers have talked about synthesis in Mass Effect 1 with Saren, and it is kinda implied in Mass Effect 2. I mention this because how are these new solutions. He is presented with three choices that have always been in the series dealing with synthetics and Reapers. The catalyst states the Crucible is just a power source, so the parts that control, destroy, and even synthesize are part of the Citadel. So how is it a new solution?

In other words, this is my statement on the whole mess.

It's not the end of the world. And stop treating it like it is. Things look bad now, but there's always ALWAYS the future to consider.

Some of you might find that way of hoping for a better tomorrow to be a bit weird, but, well, look at it this way.

It's what kept me from killing myself a long time ago. And I say that with all honesty. I would not be here today, if I didn't think like that.

My god how the thread has been lacking your posts. At least it did for me.

You sir, are truly a rational and optimistic person. Do they make Tickle-Me-Arians so that I can have daily dose of optimism to start those grim days of mine? I surely could use one of these these last few weeks.

In any case, thanks for being so awesome and good to have you back!

Which is kind of funny, since most people think I am horrific pessimist. I guess I'm merely a realistic optimist, I always have hope, yet still believe in Finagle's Law.

Though, I also believe in Murphy's Law, which so many people fail to understand. Finagle's Law of Universal Perversity states that the perversity of the universe always tends toward a maximum; meaning things will eventually find a way of going bad. Murphy's Law merely states that anything that can go wrong, will.

It's not that it's a statement that everything in the universe goes wrong, it's a statement that if something can go wrong, you should make it to where it's impossible for it to go wrong. It's a call to expect the worst, and do something about it.

It's been a while since I've been on these boards - I was shall we say "disappointed" that it took 3 months to release a slide show.Truthfully the only reason I've signed back in is to download my C.E. music.

Anyhoo, how's things going?

People have come and gone but overall it's the same. Everyone has their own interpretation so we usually just vaguely chat between troll wars.

Fair enough, personally I didn't completely hate the original endings - although I do hate the sythn ending now as essentially what I feared was true - You were space Jesus and had to die to save the galaxy

I always find this ending cliched regardless of when it is used(Film, TV games etc)

I haven't actually played ME3 in a long time, I'm toying with the DLC but as it can't add anything substantial either to the next game or the ending I have to wonder why bother.

Lets focus on something more positive. I for one thought Leviathan was awesome and set the bar high for future Mass Effect DLC.

Quick question then if you don't mind -

Do your squadmates get to speak in t his DLC or is it like past DLC where they just follow you around silently other than generic fighting talk?

All squad mates speak and LI’s even have their own romance specific lines and interactions.

Leviathan definitely sets the bar high for future DLC.

Same here. Finally a decent absolutely phenomenal SP DLC after a storm of MP ones.
