Nice one. Especially considering the huge amount of shades that lie between black and white...

So.....microsoft and Bioware had it planned since the 90's eh?......the plot thickens.

Where are we going with this?

so anyway, back to the topic of Arrival....... as I mentioned earlier. How did Harbinger project his image to Shepard? I was thinking it might be through Object Rho or through Shepards implants or both being linked upon shepards contact with object rho? What do you guys think? Could this be interpreted as the thematic "Arrival" of harbinger into Sheps mind? Harbinger, getting one foot in the door if you will. (or tentacle, or what ever he has)

When I played Arrival I didn't consider that there was no equipment where Harbinger appeared. It might all be in Shepard's mind or an oversight. The former is more consistent with IT and makes sense after all. It'd be a pretty big oversight for science-savvy writers. Could also be that the platform Harby appears over conveniently happens to be a holoprojector.

Hi. It looks like ME3 has hundreds of distinct endings. Posted Image

Several of the sixteen endings were just ways to get the sixish. Like needing different EMS amounts depending on anderson were counted as different endings.

Hmm... So there were 27 endings. 3 EMS levels x 3 choice options x 3 flashbacks (Ash, Kaidan, Liara) !!! And times the number of different combinations of squadmates getting out of the Normandy gives hundreds of endings in total.

No. That is just silly. - it is just a landing platform. That's the point - there is no equipment there. It is a projection straigt into shepard's mind.

A thought - even if shepard didn't have any reaper tech in him in ME2 - it is possible that they implanted him with it in arrival - and now he became a walking talking object Rho of sorts...

Don't start that. When it came out the apologists were all like 'Well I got the blue ending where the geth died over rannoch which is different to the blue ending where the quarians died'.

Do I have to explain why this doesn't make anything better?

Yeah, I know. Just added it for the sake of speculation and to make my post longer. Posted Image

From a purely mathematical standpoint it has many many endings but the differences are simply small enough to be negligible. In other words, consider my post to have a tint of humor.

Btw, ME3 was to have 16 (namely SIXTEEN) endings, not hundreds. So it's still an unfulfilled promise. jk

Arrival's Last Stand - is the most epic battle in all ME storywise imo..

Shepard is all alone, trapped in a room with the reaper artifact which succombs everyone to it's will, in the middle of military base, whose whole garrisson been turned and now against him - And still he menages to wipe out everything they throw at Shepard, before the artifact can finallly knock him out...

It's very strange that the sedatives didn't work. I'm not a medic but is it even possible if the dosage is correct? All it'd would take to put him back to sleep was another dose.

Did he? I don't remember what happened to object Rho - always assumed that whatever it was - the artifact is surely destroyed cause the whole base was on the asteroid that smashed into the mass relay and became a ground zero of a supernova.

I think when Shepard shoots it with a heavy weapon it explodes. This knocks him out.

Man. I seriously think that Arrival was severely underrated at it's time.. But the story in it was so much bigger, and so much more focused that even in the Lair of the Shadow Broker.

It might be so cause it was concerned with the main evemy of the series whereas LotSB was a kind of a side story, which might turn out to be significant in some way.

I always assumed that it happened due to him being rebuilt by cerberus - after that he seems to have gotten sort of immunity to all chemical processes - as an example - in the beginning of the game - he drinks lethal poison in a bar on omega - but that just knocks him out for couple of minutes, and gives him a headache... There other instances in the game when he makes use of this ability.
