That might sound cruel but I romanced her in my main playthrough. But then she bacame too ****y in ME2 so in my newest Renegade trilogy playthrough I switched to Liara and left Ash on Virmire.

I left the default (John) back when I started ME1. I guess changing it wouldn't make the game different. I know that's not very original...

Looks like we both lack imagination. Oh well.  

My male Shepard is named Raistlin in honor of one of my favorite characters in litterature (as also honered in my profile name)

My female Shepard is named Cynder who is a character from the Legend of Spyro series who i for reasons I cannot explain simply loved. Guess it might be something with me always having liked a redemption story.

What did the EC promise? Simple. 2 things: For us to be able to see the consequences of our choices on the galaxy, and to provide additional closure.

No one even cares about the first one anymore!  I just want my little blue babies that were even mentioned in ME3!  I just want closure, screw the rest of the galaxy! I would have chosen to go "somewhere very far away" with Liara if I could have...

That and just all the drama that goes on through the 3 games w/ that relationship (loyal through all three) it appears to me that BioWare sorta has a soft spot/favors Ash a bit. (To be fair to femshep I think they favor Kaiden for that gender.) Liara to me seems too easy to get and there is really little drama in the relationship in comparison. Just my opinion...

Never romanced her, but left Kaidan, he was a little too boring

I'm with you on this. My first playthrough ended like "Noooo.... Garrus.... What about our house on the beach?!!!" And then "Noo... What about all that amount of alcohol I promised to drink with my friends after the victory!" 

Trully, I think my Shepard would have rather died from Liver cirrhosis after all the promised drinks.

I use three names for my Shepards. Orville for broshep and Precious for femshep. All my renegade sheps regardless of gender are called Todd.

Shame because it could develop into a very interesting discussion. Intertwining man and machine is only one step towards true Singularity. The Singularity is when machines surpass human intelligence which means no one can predict what happens next. Interesting times ahead of us, no doubt about that.

I was thinking the same thing. Shepard already died once, and it devastated Liara. Having that happen again is... heartless. At least being with her would help. Shepard is the only person Liara has ever been interested in. Having Shepard die in all endings (or as good as) seems incredibly cheap as a writer. Just so they don't have to write a proper epilogue.

The worst romance in terms of how hard Shep dying would be on the other person is if you romance Cortez.

You finally help him get over his husband's death only to die yourself.

He'd probably end up worse than he was before.
