Thinking of some other ways the ending has shepard's memories interlaced. When TIM uses his power, he's using Morinth's dominate power, which shepard would remember because every Shepard does that mission whether they choose Morinth's side or Samara's.

Adding to the memory of Saren being the same as TIM shooting himself, Synthesis is falling down a hole. After Saren shot himself, he fell down into the garden below the Council chamber. Maybe not the same way, but similar and Saren is pretty much Synthesis. They didn't have to represent it with Saren, because anyone who played the first game or did some research knew this part.

Of course we know all the other myriad ways the ending mirrors Shepard's past in very eerie ways (such as Destroy being the Human Reaper's tubes that you shot in ME2 and Control exhibiting the electrocution pulse of Husks), but I just thought of these. Not sure if anyone else did so I thought I would share.

EDIT: I've been going back and watching key moments of the series and comparing them with scenes after the conduit run. This is why I thought of this and decided to post it.

Yes. The whole post-beam sequence resembles with a lot of the key moments of the series. Here my short list:

1. Pre-Beam run resembles with Conduit charge in ME 1 (maybe coincidence).
2. Corpses of Ash/Kaidan.
3. Meathouse hallway resembles with Collector-Ship (piles of bodies and the ilumination).
4. Engines of the Citadel resemble the SB-Ship.
5. Control room resembles TIM's office and Citadel Tower in ME 1 (though the latter is not that obvious).
6. TIM's suicide is classy and is some kind of Saren 2.0.
7. Decision chamber we have the ME 2 reaper tubes and husk coils.

Once I adressed this to infamous jellyfish Heretic_Hanar and he explained it with BW repurposing already existing concepts (btw I hope estebanus did not shot Heretic_Hanar with his/her G36... though I like the G3 more, it has less plastic parts ).
But I think I do not have to tell you my opinion on this. It is clear that they had some kind of intentions.

It's really hard for me to believe that it's not more than reused assets. If it was, then Bioware could have gone into the code and the program and clean it up so not everything looks like crap from Shepard's past. But they didn't, and that is key.

No argument here. The question is not, whether the end has to be taken literally or not. The question rather is, what non-literal view is the most plausible. Because considering this set and the ridiculous breath scene (if taken literally... I mean, survive a 79 Gigaton epxlosion) a literal interpretation leaves ME 3 with what everyone is according as ME 3's biggest flaw: a terrible ending

Hmmm....similarities...

Does this prove WNT;) Oh, yeah forgot to mention that I found a video maker that is willing to help on the WNT video. Production will be occurring soon and we (or at least I) hope to get it out within a month or so. All I can say is that it is going to be AWESOME!!!

I still support your theory, in part.

Which part? The traditional one which goes hand in hand with IT? Or the one where it stands on it's own as a theory for the entire end?

For the video I am currently toying with which one to choose...which would you guys prefer me to do?

I feel there is no one theory that completely describes the entire ending yet, but I do support Dream, Puzzle, and WN.

Isn't the beam in ME3 even called the Conduit at some point?

Yes it is, which I always thought was wierd because it's a teleportation device that isn't like anything else in the Mass Effect universe. It's not even similar to the original Conduit. It's a :wizard:Space Magic:wizard: space elevator.

I like Jessica, but after reading her twitters I'm pretty sure she doesn't know sh** about what's to come for ME :P

*edit* speaking of twitters, seems like everyone at BW is working on DLC

*edit 2* and didn't we talk about freudian trio ~500 pages ago?

Personal suggestion: Do not look into the abyss that is Jessica Merizan's twitter feed.

And there is one theory that can fully explain all of this:ST

I was thinking about the possible salarian traitors-Cerberus connection and had an incredible idea.

What if Cerberus was given the tip off about genophage cure attempt by ***the League of One.*** The ME codex did state that there is a rumored secret member that was never accounted for. The salarians may have maintained the organization by making it a one person group. This one person could be used for the most contentious black ops organizations...such as betraying allies to Cerberus

So sailing to Alaska is out of the question? ;) I lived in Ontario, Canada for 3 years then moved back to Washington State a couple years ago. So I know some Canadians.

Wait, why Alaska?

Me and my brothers own a summerhouse just outside Seattle, as a matter of fact, so it's easy for us to go sailing.

Dang. I now live in Alaska but before I lived close to Seattle. Seattle is too rainy in the winter and spring but from what I've seen so far Alaska is no better. Oh well.

I miss Anchorage sometimes, but the rainy summers, not so much. When it's not raining its beautiful. Currently the DC area, not a big fan of the heat.

It would tie up another story detail that was about as noteworthy as the Leviathan mention in ME 1.  It could very easily be weaved into an easter egg in any upcoming Cerberus dlc.  An easter egg with extensive plot significance Posted Image
