Hmmm....this really goes well with the idea that the Leviathans never lost control and are purposely eliminating races before they can reach to the level the Leviathans are. So the Leviathans sorta lie to Shepard...

Just an idea. If true...implications are interesting. 2 big plots are going on at the same time. The Leviathans are the true masters of the Reapers and the Reapers are manipulating/decieving Shepard (IT Plot).

They are not so much as master, then, it's like they are more or less fine with what is going on, unless it does not impact them. ) They are sad, that they almost got wiped out, but their over all plan works, and they can live in peace. (unless someone fionds them and tells the reapers where to find them)

What do you suppose happens to Shepard once they've been indoctrinated? Say Destroy is the correct path to break free of Harbinger's control, what do you think the outcome of Control or Synthesis would be if it's all a dream? Would Harbinger really let Shepard control the Reapers? Would Shepard just wake up to discover they've become a husk? Or does Shepard just die?

Would Control and Synthesis essentially lead to the same outcome of Shepard being indoctrinated? Anyone have any guesses?

I'm still hoping for a Critical mission failure screen after picking control or synthesis

They could still use IT to bring Shep into ME4. Come on EA, put that greed to good work! Shep wakes up, gets to crucible as Reapers attack it, manages to activate it but it only manages a small blast radius before overloading from the Reaper inflicted damage. Crucible manages to take out about half the Reapers before it's destroyed. Reapers return to dark space to regroup.

Threat is temporarily stopped, but Reapers will return soon


Edit: This obviously works with Shep dead too. New protagonist in me4 while still being in this cycle would be ok by me. Me4: Leviathan try to regain control, galaxy figjts back, Reapers take advantage of the chaos to attack, galaxy fihhting two fronts

I find this Omega point highly interesting considering your find of the novels on the Devs desk. I commend you for this find! I'm off to find a copy of the novels.

I think I said something about this before. Why is it that in ME1, the ground is sorched when Sovereign leaves, but in Control and Synthesis they just fly away gracefully? It looks so surreal, but I think that's partly because of one other thing no one has mentioned before: The music is slightly different in destroy than the other 2. Listen to destroy, and you will hear only music.
In synthesis and control, you will hear a creepy space-like tone when they leave that just sounds so surreal. So, is it a plothole, an oversight, or a hint? You decide!

Sorry, I can't link the videos right now, my youtube isn't working properly Does anyone know how to fix the bug on youtube where it keeps saying you need flash even though you don't? I think it's a bug with ads only, because I can't watch videos with ads and the only videos I can watch don't have any.

Try a different browser. That's how I fixed my problem with YT. One day it stopped being able to play videos so I just switched to Google Chrome and I haven't had a problem since.

Thanks, I may do that. I'm just waiting for now; I've heard this problem can fix itself over time.
