Dani. My opions mean s*** from time to time and yet still I am here with the everyone else talking about everything that we have been speculating about. And yes I sound like one of those people that says this because of... No. I am telling this to you and all of the lurkers that even though your option may not matter to you, your personality and opinons matter to us. And that's the truth. Each of you has a strength of acomplishing anything. And I believe that Shepard was right about one thing.
What we have is something more stronger than any ship, and it can not be broken, but take heart ...." Because we are in this together.
So come out lurkers and join us.
Thanks, masster, that means a lotI'll try and be more vocal from time to time.
How about this for a bit of speculation:
I know it has been brought up before, but I find that the musical selection in the EC is a pretty vital component of the endings. It seems kind of telling that A Future That Many Will Never See (Destroy) flows almost directly into Resolution while the control and synthesis are kind of hacked off and then Resolution begins. I could be wrong (and knowing me I probably am), but that's just something I noticed. Anyway, just trying to throw something into the mix. Speculate away (or don't)
Not to mention that the one for control awfully ominous.
Yeah, I definitely agree. There's no real feeling of victory when listening to it like there is in the destroy ending. It seems like, to put it in elementary terms (because I can't think of any other way), bad guy music

If you actually do play KS, Arian, heres hoping you dont somehow get the Act 1 bad end on your first try.
That would just make things worse.
I would assume one usually avoids that by being an actually kind and caring person, much like in a genuine relationship.
I might not have practice, but I can do it far better than plenty of the people I know.
Also, I have discovered, Hisao looks just like I did at age 15, if I were an anime character. And took my glasses off.
This does not bode well for my health.
Ahhhh! For a long time I had suspected you might be one of my best friends, what with the anonymous internet and all. Personality, writing style, self-confindence issues; I mean no disrespect by that, just stating what I've observed. (We all have something like that to deal with, to varying degrees. I'm not saying what you're feeling isn't important, don't read it like that).
Everything pointed to it!
When I learned you lived in Alaska, that disproved my theory, but this is still weird anyway, because apparently you look almost exactly like him too!

More about the music.
The credits song is named Das Malefitz by The Faunts.
According to some of our German Language speakers, one possible way to interpret the phrase;
"Renegade Action".
Intrigued? I know I was.
I thought it was more interesting how much it sounded like "M4 Part II" also by The Faunts, the ending credit song for ME1. The lyrics to that song are interesting in relation to the story, but that can relate to all 3 Mass Effect games.

You know how Bioware has said the Child represents Shepard's guilt and those lost on Earth? I do believe it, but if that's the case why not show the Child in one of those ending flashbacks? Especially on a file with minimal squad loss.
Hm. Speculations.

Correct.
The word Malefitz comes from the Latin word maleficus, and means something like crime, wrongdoing, or a legal, moral or ethical misconduct.
And it is the name of the evil fairy in Sleeping Beauty.
And it is actually written Malefiz (maleficent). The opposite is Benefiz (charity).

Shepard's actually remembering people that matter now instead of pining over the kid.
In Destroy, for most of mine, the order goes Anderson > EDI > Liara (romance). For the other two choices* its Anderson > Thane > Liara. Always thought my Shepards were a little closer to Mordin after everything was said in done, not Thane. Though his death seemed very emotional for Shepard, can't see Mordin's being any less.
In my head Thane being there is because, no matter what, he prepared a prayer for Shepard which has looots of foreshadowing going on.

Good point. It would actually serve well for both interpretations, the 'literal' one and IT. The former because it's what Bioware said to want the child to be, the latter for Shep's hallucinations being not his own but induced heavily by the Reapers.
But if he were there in the flashbacks, then us interpretating him as being a Reaper hallucination all along would be more of an interpretation than a possibility, more like straw grasping, that is.
By him not being there it is more ambiguous that way. It remains unclear whether he was really there at the beginning or not. Not only that, this also puts Bioware is a less reliable position that way. They had all the chances in the EC to include the supposed face of humanity.

Although they changed it in EC, I said before that it was interesting that 'an end once and for all' segued into 'das malefitz'. It's kind of like saying 'The end... psyche!'
The original "An End..." (which is now the low EMS version) also ended on the classical cliffhanger ending, just listen to it...

Not disagreeing about the self-confidence at all. I used to have alot. But I got rid of it, a long time ago. I'm arrogant enough without it. But either way, as I said, I wear glasses, have skin a bit worse than I care for, and wear my hair longer now. So I likely look a great deal different from your conception.

Yes, I am aware it's not real German.
I found this out, funnily enough, by asking a real German, who pointed this out to me. But Malefitz translates to nothing in any language. Malefiz is the closest, and I stated it CAN be translated as "Renegade"
EDIT: Ooops. Saw you were agreeing with me. Sorry. >.<

Anyway, what's all this talk about an "inner-council"? - sounds pretty spastic and illogical to me. Because all the crazies on this thread really needed another conspiracy theory to untangle!

Posted one, the other is "new" ... ish. I was probably either 17 or 18 in both of these, but they're not that different from how I look now.
But yeah, I do have to shave regularly to avoid looking like a creepy neckbeard with a double chin.
And the acne's terrible.
