Hey Folks!
I watched through some videos and read through some explanations of the IT on this forum, although I did not read all the comments on this thread -- it is very long.
I find the theory very convincing, in fact I had thought myself right at my first play-through that something was not right when I got up after the harbinger-beam hit. First of all my gun was replaced with a predator that I never had equipped. Then it had infinite ammo, and weird slow-motion action. So I felt this cannot be real live action...
The IT gives a perfect explanation.
However, I have a question / problem. Excuse me if it was explained somewhere in the 800+ pages and I missed it.
If the whole sequence after the hit is a hallucination (internal fight of will against indoctrination) and I choose destroy, that means there is no "ending" to the actual conflict. Sheppard draws a breath in the rubble, so he survived the hit and did not get indoctrinated.
BUT, he still did not make it to the Citadel / Catalyst, the Crucible is not docked, the Reapers are not defeated -- that was all just part of the hallucination. So how does the story really end ? Do we have to wait for another DLC or ME4 to find out ?
