Some people badly need to get laid.
Just saying...

Don't look at me! :D I get laid often - having a girlfiriend is nice.
Could use a job though...

I chose a career where I'm gone from home almost all year,so at least I have an excuse for not seeing my boyfriend that often.

Are you trolling me? :huh::lol:

You can prove it's him... well, at least, no other character in the game looks remotely similar, and it's definitely the kid's model...

I really hope it is a "hint" toward IT by bioware but imho, I think they are leading us on. The boy not being real theory could possibly be interpreted as total bonkers by the bioware team and thus they decide to troll us with a snippet of a picture of him which cannot be proved by us to be him.

Also, someone mentioned that the boy's picture was on the citadel wall of missing people (feel free to correct me as I haven't personally seen it) which would make sense but why would they be looking for him if he was murdered in a blackout crime?

I honestly have no idea what those creatures are meant to be - the first thing I thought of was Slenderman (also am I the only one who doesn't find that game scary?).

The Slenderman reference seems to be popping up alot on this forum. Specifically in relation to the cave paintings.

Hey Folks!

I watched through some videos and read through some explanations of the IT on this forum, although I did not read all the comments on this thread -- it is very long.

I find the theory very convincing, in fact I had thought myself right at my first play-through that something was not right when I got up after the harbinger-beam hit. First of all my gun was replaced with a predator that I never had equipped. Then it had infinite ammo, and weird slow-motion action. So I felt this cannot be real live action...
The IT gives a perfect explanation.

However, I have a question / problem. Excuse me if it was explained somewhere in the 800+ pages and I missed it.

If the whole sequence after the hit is a hallucination (internal fight of will against indoctrination) and I choose destroy, that means there is no "ending" to the actual conflict. Sheppard draws a breath in the rubble, so he survived the hit and did not get indoctrinated.
BUT, he still did not make it to the Citadel / Catalyst, the Crucible is not docked, the Reapers are not defeated -- that was all just part of the hallucination. So how does the story really end ? Do we have to wait for another DLC or ME4 to find out ?

The endings taken literally are absolute garbage.

No closure.
Palette swap.
No explanation.
New antagonist in last 5 minutes.
New antagonist makes no sense. None.
Awesome old antagonist now super weak and retarded.
Massive massive massive plot holes.
Total thematic shift in last 5 minutes.
Massive massive massive plot holes.
Complete confusion as to what even happens.
Artistic integrity commits suicide.
Totally out of character behavior by major characters.
More massive plot holes.

No, in my option, literal endings are the most awful endings that ever existed in the history of the known universe. They suck!

The worst part is if they are meant to be taken literal- we've spent 6 months speculating over bad writing. Thats like spending weeks trying to uncover the symbolism in a 3 year olds ****ty cat drawing.

I don't know, but from what you're saying it looks like you percieve the ending as this....

Judging by these pictures, your version is some funfiction...

Possibly, but Biowares current line seems to indicate they want to leave the series on a choice between a cliffhanger or a nonsense ending.

Hello and welcome Zso_Zso! Glad you find IT so convincing! As for what the real ending would be or if there even would be a real ending, a lot of people in this thread believe there will be either an ending DLC or that ME4 will be the continuation of Shepard's story and the end of the Reaper war, with ME3 being the "Fight to take back Earth." It's worth noting that Bioware seems to have gone out of their way to be incorrect a lot. Just look at all their pre-release claims. It's kind of hard to not think they're not up to something.

Also, is it just me, or is Ventboy popping up far too often for him to be real? I mean, it doesn't make sense for him to be on both the blackout murders board and the missing persons wall; it doesn't even make sense for him to be on the missing persons wall. It outright says he was on Earth when the attack hit! What do you think happened to him... : /

I saw someone mention the paintings on the wall in Brysons lab... i mentioned this in another forum and got no replies to it... but i still think its worth mentioning...

One of the paintings has a beam of light in the middle.. swirling upwards.. just like the beam to the citadel
the painting also has two dead trees just like trees seen in sheps dreams...
also the grey/darkness encrothching in and around is just like the run to the beam after being hit by harby's beam...

Yes, and the other one riminds me of virmire very strongly, but i just can't poin out why. It was instant - i just looked at it and BAM - thought - Virmire.... Then i was all like, wait, why Virmire? What is it about that picture that says Virmire? Don't know but it is Virmire.

Edit: the painting that is in the picture on the left is featured twice - one more copy is in the bathroom. It is the only picture featured twice in the whole area, and it is the one that reminds of shepards dreams the most.

anyone else notice the weird black tendrils growing out of the ground?

at first i thought they were just burned pieces of vegetation but they look very similar to the weird tendril trees in shepards dreams... but smaller

the way they move is very weird and un-natural stretching back and forth unlike anything else around you...

my first second thought was... its a sign of harbingers attempt to get into shepard head.... before shepard is hit by harbingers beam you can see a couple of them on the ground.. but after shepard gets up.. there are lots of them all around him... and as i said they look and move very very strangely.. take a look for yourself...

i reloaded my save and replayed the area.. taking my scope out and looking down towards the conduit i could see none of these growths coming out of the ground... only until you have the scene with the tank nearly hitting shep can you clearly see one of them... and then only one or two

i think because harbinger is now right in front of shepard it is able to have a greater influence on him.. and as you move closer towards him.. his influence grows.. the tendril/growths being a visual sign of it...

i liked the idea of IT but i like the idea of a walking dream more... the idea that what were seeing is a mix of reality and illusion... as harbinger attempts to break shepard will...

No matter what you believe about the endings.. these weird black growths seems just that.. weird
anybody have any other ideas about them?

The first one could be Caleston, it was originally planned to be the planet on which you meet Liara in ME1, they could make it a place in DLC

The second one is the Citadel under attack - post-ending DLC involving Citadel Defense Force?

*edit* oh and I will be in Ireland for a week, see you later ^_^

That painting of the light beam appears to have dead trees in it.

Boy, leviathan gets more and more interesting as people look through it.

also those plants in leviathan.. could those be the same plants that are dotted everywhere on the citadel?
they certainly look the same.. and they did just redo the whole citadel gardening scheme

That is actually very interesting - this is the model of the Yagh you ran into while on Sur-Kesh. - Note the scars from operations and experiments - they look kinda similiar to those that are present on all reapers forces, but less extensive - possible proof that salarians really work as reaper R&D departent? (without realising it possibly?)

Right when I finished ME3 for the first time, even before the IT hit big, that image instantly clicked in my mind, as the image of the ending. This is the ending for me. And a mighty fine one at that.

@RavenEyry - I've been telling you all about these pictures right from the day one of leviathan going live. Given the sheer ammount of evidence in there - IT is like 90% officially proven.
